Men can not only READ about but also WEAR NOW.

Finding Bras for Men

(courtesy : I love to know men's fashion)

Many men may have overly developed chests that are either a result of a medical condition such as gynecosmastia - the
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gynecomastia/DS00850swelling of the breast tissue, or from having gained weight or muscle in the chest area.

Whatever the reason may be, men can rest assured that there are solutions that can be worn under their shirts
to hide their breasts and have them feeling confident once again.

Bras for men are often referred to as the following:

  • Compression bra
  • Compression vest
  • Gynecomastia vest
  • Manssiere

Since many men may frown at the idea of going into the lingerie department of any store, there are several on-line shopping options to consider.

Shopping on-line is not only convenient, but can take the embarrassment out of shopping in person.

Good news for obese men???

I was surprised when I saw for the first time the all-pink, feminine, velvet-smooth, shaving kit for women
(for keeping away mustache and beards!)

The lady in the shop told me that many women shave their faces as regularly as men do!

Must be due the wrong % of hormones in their bodies. :tsk:

I also read that men find solace and peace when they come home tired from the office and wear A cup bras which fit them snugly - lifting up their spirits.

(Isn't it strange that the women find liberated when they shed their bras and men when they actually wear them!!!)

I think that if certain things make our lives easier, pleasanter, or more bearable, they can be used without feeling guilty - as medical aids for good health rather than mere inner dresses or shaving kits!

A novel way to raise funds!

A college held its alumni meet recently. Fancy lunch was arranged. Why not???

When every old student is made to cough up Rs half a K ! compulsorily even - while attending the meet by himself - unaccompanied by his family.

I was reminded of a scene from a movie (Chinnak kounder?)
where the heroine throws a feast to raise some money. Every one who eats there leaves the amount of money he can spare under the plantain leaf he eats on.

Of course the hero leaves the golden mangalsutra - threaded and ready to be tied! :)

May be the alumni committee got the idea from the movie! But not willing to risk the elusive people - who may eat and disappear without paying up anything - they were smart enough to collect the money first, before letting the person into the hall.

Schools and colleges are business and have captive resources to milk.
More so schools - Uniform, whose primary purpose is to make it affordable and non discriminatory has lost its intent and
with novel criteria for books and Uniform - such as 'has to be purchased in so and so shop only, or at school only', should not be older than 1 year (expiry date) etc., the purpose is to squeeze out. The price is not competitive and quality so much to be desired.

My DH's cousin's wife runs a school in Bengaluru. The students should buy shoes, socks and note books also from the school! :faint:

Thank God my two sons wore white shirt and navy blue pants throughout their schooling.

I used to stitch their uniforms until they left school and entered higher secondary school.

By that time they were 6 footers and their dresses had to be in the current style. So from then on their clothes were stitched by the professional tailors :)

My dear Raji,

Do you remember the names of the 12 chakras into which the
72 melakarthaas are divided @ six in each chakraa??

The sixth chakra is called The Ruthu Chakram
(consisting from 31 to 36 melakarthass)!

Shat Ruthu is the how it is denoted in Sanskrit.

Shat => the number six.

I  the names of the twelve chakraas!

1 => Indu Chakram, since there is only one moon.

2 => Netra chakram, since there are two eyes.

3 => Agni chakram, since there are three types of Agni.

4 => Veda chakram, since there are four Vedas.

5 => Baana chakram, since there are Pancha Baanaas.

6 => Ruthu Chankram, since there are six Ruthus.

7 => Rushi Chakram, since there are Sapta Rushis.

8 => Vasu chakram, since there are Ashta Vasus.

9 => Brahma chakram. (I do not know the connection between Brahma and the number 9).

10 => Disi chakram, since there are ten directions.

11 => Rudra chakram, since there are Ekaadasa Rudras.

12 => Aadhitya chakram, since there are Dwaadasa Aadhityas.

What a subtle way of teaching Indian religion along with music!

I read in a book sometime back which gives as follows: Predominant Seasons -
Winter, Summer and Monsoon or Rainy Season.

Winter - November to February - Almost in all parts of India. Average Temp 10-15 C
Summer - March, April, May & June - Summer Months. When the rays of Sun falls vertically
on the Indian Sub-continent. Average Temperature 38 C
Monsoon or Rainy Season - Later part of June to October - Almost in all parts of India
Monsoon approaches generally with moisture laden winds. Sudden thunderstorm,
Lightning or Depression etc.

Just to add..when we do not understand anything taught to us our head goes for a spin too..so yet again another Chakram.

Indian Meteorological Department designates only four official seasons. According to
them the Nation is largely subjected to four seasons only. This is not in relation to
our ancient literature or history and there is nothing to laugh at. We should also see
latest Science Today Magazines and Current Affairs before we make any sweeping
statements just like that.

Which is the sweeping statement may I ask? Post #1583? which is
In India, these days, we notice six seasons as against normal four. viz. Summer,
Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer Monsoon and Winter Monsoon.
So, what does 'these days' refer to? and which period are you refering to for the meteorological seasons?

........ 9 => Brahma chakram. (I do not know the connection between Brahma and the number 9). ....
This information taken from 'My purohith' encyclopedia, may be the reason!“The seven Rishis” (saptarshi), or the Praja-patis, “the

mind-born sons” of Brahma, are often referred to. In the Satapatha Brahmana their names are given as Gotama, Bharadwaja,

Viswamitra, Jamad-agni, Vasishtha, Kasyapa, and Atri The Mahabharata gives them as Marichi, Atri, Angiras, Pulaha, Kratu, Pulastya,

and Vasishtha. The Vayu Purana adds Bhrigu to this. list, making eight, although it still calls them "seven." The Vishnu Purina, more consistently, adds Bhrigu and Daksha, and calls them the nine Brahmarshis (Brahma-rishis).
