There are only two seasons in Coimbatore... Cool and very cool :)

This + the tasty Siruvani water make up for all the other defects and deficiencies prevailing here.

Coimbatore may soon become the spiritual center of South India and it already is the spiritual center of Tamilnadu. :first:

Which is the sweeping statement may I ask? Post #1583? which is

So, what does 'these days' refer to? and which period are you refering to for the meteorological seasons?

Points to Ponder

Mr Ozoneji

IMD has published in Wikipedia too about the Seasons, which I located just now
to answer your query

Winter - Dec to early April
Summer or Pre-Monsoon Season - April to Jun
Monsoon or Rainy Season - Jun to September
Post Monsoon - October to December

Normally before I post anything, to certain extent I make sure that I am in the
right path.

Ten commandments (revised edition)

1. You shall have no other gods before me.

(Attention members of the "paguththarivu paasarai!)

2. You shall not make for yourself an idol.

(Attention Ms. Mayavati !)

3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God

(Attention all fake swamijis !)

4. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy

(Most of us keep it very clean with the liberal use of the cleansing spirit)

5. Honor your father and your mother.

(There are better off wherever they are. We will continue to think about them once in a year and send them gifts / flowers / cards on the Mom's day and Dad's day)

6. You shall not murder.

(Attention all politicians !)

7. You shall not commit adultery.

(Attention all the seekers of FUN !)

8. You shall not steal.

(It is Not stealing, it is just picking up what we want to have !)

9. You shall not lie.

(We have sworn to speak nothing but THAT !)

10. You shall not covet.

(We can resist everything except temptations !)

A serious point to ponder!

I received five stars for two of my threads in the literature section as soon as I started. Prof. Nara Sir generously gave five stars to the other three also! Suppose a person has two ids in this forum, is it not very easy?

A question in a lighter vein:

What is the main difference between a 'forum friend' and a 'real friend'?

Expecting a reply from my friend O3 and other friends!! :)

Forum Friend : A point or a place for unknown people to virtually meet only online;
besides discreetly or indirectly understand each other on points of common interest.
(Any Visitor or Guest may read a thread of common interest and post the views, where we
can obtain a basic knowledge about a particular topic as it provides historical
perspectives on various prevalent trends and views).

Real Friend : A real friend is one who has an intimacy and like each other, enjoy the association both
in times of good and bad besides who is prepared to extend the required help if there is
a need at any particular point of time.

Nope! I really have :noidea: !

But thinking on your lines, in case we don't have a generous friend to catapult us, the next best thing will be to become a two-in-person! :decision:

But when we hardly have enough time, even to be just oneself who has the time and initiative for a dual profile?

My Lady! I give the benefit of your doubts to our two new friends and pronounce then completely INNOCENT of the scheme you are suggesting. :high5:

Reminds of this:
What is the difference between an acquaintance and a friend.
An Acquaintance is a person whom you do not know that well to lend him your money, but who is familiar enough to borrow from.

May be we can call forum friends as Acquaintance?

You mean there is no mention of the traditional six seasons! vasanta, greeshma, varsha, sarad, hemanta and sisira ruthus. Kalidasa will be very unhappy!

Your are one step ahead of me, O3!! The thought in my mind was this:
Forum friend கைமாத்து கேட்கமாட்டார்! :pound:

No you MAY NOT! :) :nono:

Forum friends can neither lend nor borrow from you!

Forum friends SEEM to be REAL people who can make you smile, laugh and feel pampered and then suddenly they will vanish from your life - dropping you down violently from the proverbial Seventh Heaven!

Forum enemies ARE very REAL. They may appear in your nightmares and give you a real scare - in spite of being so virtual.

Ah! Don't say that you agree with me. :nono:

When people say that they agree with me,

I always feel that I must be wrong.

As long as war is regarded as wicked, it will always

have its fascination. When it is looked upon as vulgar, it

will cease to be popular.

The change will, of course, be slow, :couch2:

and people ill not be conscious of it.

Dear NB Sir,
The same site also has the following:
The Himalayan states, being more temperate, experience an additional two seasons: autumn and spring. Traditionally, Indians note six seasons, each about two months long. These are the spring (Sanskrit: vasanta), summer (grīṣma), monsoon season (varṣā), early autumn (śarada), late autumn (hemanta), and winter (śiśira). These are based on the astronomical division of the twelve months into six parts. The ancient Hindu calendar also reflects these seasons in its arrangement of months.

which you have perhaps missed or skipped.

And BTW , you were the one who started the dispute and, to be honest, I still havent figured out what your
original dispute or concern was. I thought you wanted it to be six, and now I get a feeling you think it should be four.

I know which season prevails here??? :flame:

It is the Perpetual Knock-out Season!!!:boxing:

It is advisable even to the adventurous ladies :nono:

KEEP OFF from this all-male, free-for-all, fist-fights!:scared:

I do not deny the aspects as you state. I have no contrary view. But then, owing
to various experiments of nuclear and other tests, etc., around the world by many
countries, there is a slight tilt or shift on the axis of the earth according to the Scientists,
which I read a couple of years back in a magazine, and that has resulted in the
change of climate in various continents over the Globe. There are many occurrences
like Sunami, Tidal Waves and recent happening in Japan, etc. Let us not drag this any more.

Surely THIS can't be the all-male thread! :nono:

Nor do we have free-for-all fist-fights here. :nono:

If at all, we have wit-fights, with words and not swords. :argue:

This thread CAN never be free of ladies as it is a thread

of the ladies, by the ladies and for the ladies. :high5:

is this thread soon going to be free from Ladies?
Is that a point to ponder?
