Quotable Quotes Part II

Some people even pull up devotees who have come for worship and engage in gossip. The Shastras declare this to be a sin. Hence, no one should speak unnecessary, unrelated things in a temple. They should be well focused in worship alone.Do not give room to discussing worldly topics in a temple. Only worship, meditation and chanting should go on. - Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamigal

How many people go

to the temple for praying???

Some go for meeting, :grouphug:

some go for chatting, :blabla:

some go for eating, :hungry:

some go for exhibiting :drama:

the silk and diamonds

in their possession!!!

Any thread can contain anything but V R ma'am is NOT supposed to write trash like some others do!

When kadi kavithais / jokes appear in Q Q, naturally many of us feel sad! :tsk:

No one writes about it, though! :typing: .. May be :fear:

Does this explain why people think

more than thrice before entering certain threads???

But something makes me feel that most people like a relaxing and humorous thread

after discussing severe and serious matters - which are mostly mind boggling materials.

Anybody may check it up for their own selves and by their own selves. :suspicious:

Here is a quote from the Movie "Schindler's List" I watched today:

Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire.” -Talmud.
― Thomas Keneally, "Schindler's List".

This sounds reassuring but not the opposite!!! :scared:

"Schindler's list" is the true story of one remarkable man Oscar Schindler who spent millions bribing and paying off the SS and eventually risked his life to rescue the more than 1200 Jews from the gas chambers of "Auschwitz" during World War II. Czeh born Oscar Schindler shown the highest level of humanity, walked through the bloody mud of the Holocaust without soiling his soul, his compassion, his respect for human life - "and gave his Jews a second chance at life. He miraculously managed to do it and pulled it off by using the very same talents that made him a war profiteer - his flair for presentation, bribery, and grand gestures". Today there are more than 7,000 descendants of the Schindler-Jews living in US and Europe, many in Israel.
Before the Second World War, the Jewish population of Poland was 3.5 million. Today there are between 3,000 and 4,000 left.
Famous Director Steven Spielberg has produced this picture in Black and white in 1993. Liem Neesom acts as Oscar Schindler and Ben Kingsley as his Jewish right hand man Accountant Itzhak Stern.

Yes. You must view the movie, though disturbing this movie leaves a message to humanity " Oscar Schindler simply was 'ein guter Mensch', ( one good person) whose sheer humanity forced him to take extremely great personal risks to save the Jews. An ordinary man who even in the worst of circumstances did extraordinary things, matched by no one. The unlikeliest of all role models this man, who started by earning millions as a war profiteer and ended by spending his last pfennig and risking his life to save his 1300 jews.

I very much enjoy the reply of Renukaji to VRji and wonder how two womenfolk could become/be made pregnant at the same time ofcourse by the same man. :fencing::peace:

A pregnancy can last for 40 weeks. :preggers:

If he is a Dasaratha he can impregnate :bump2:

none less than 40 x7 women during that time! :faint:
