Quote from swami Dayananda
"That you have likes and dislikes, is not a problem. There is a problem only when you allow them to govern you. There is no problem if you allow yourself to be governed by dharma, if you surrender your will to dharma. That is what is called surrender. Surrender is not an action, it is bhavana, a condition of the mind. And this surrender is for our own growth, for our own maturity. If what you have to do in a given situation is not in keeping with your like, bring your discretion into play and do what is right. You become a partipant in the cosmic yajna when your action is in conformity with dharma, with what is proper in a given situation. A great yajna is going on and you do what is to be done and avoid what should not be done. This order itself is the Lord and that is yoga. Conformity to dharma brings about a harmony in life: the mind remains free from conflicts, free from regrets. Do what is to be done-- cross all the t's and dot all the i's. That is what we call yoga, A LIFE OF DHARMA" (caps mine)
