Just to add, intellectualization through reasoning, evidence and logic helps to a certain extent.
Lets take the case of August Kekulè and his theory of chemical structure the most famous being the Benzene ring structure.
Through intellectualization, research and analaysis he arrived at his findings..but the final shape of the Benzene ring structure came through a dream of a snake biting its own tail and putting everything together he got his answer.
Archimedes had his Eureka inspiration when he was bathing.
Suddenly something flashed in his mind when he observed the bath water falling out of the bath tub...he was estatic..ran about sans clothes.
All these didnt go through their intellect, it just flashed to them as in a " revelation" scenario.
This is how the Neti Neti( not this, not this) negation of Advaita works.
We are entitled to analyze and observe..deduce, use reasoning via our intellect and senses...then when we surrender the mind and its waves are no more in the state of agitation, revelations flash into our calm waveless mind and using that revelation we compare and contrast it with what we gathered through intellectualization and then Neti Neti comes into play when we realize there might be some flaws in our theories and rectify them.
One may ask, why do revelations differ if its from God..why so many Acharyas with different paths?
Reason is the Divine knowledge revealed to the world through various schools of thoughts is only the tip of the iceberg which is revealed orientating itself to the needs of time, place and person.
Knowing this we should not be rigid and think only " My way is the Truth"
We have to realize every way is valid..its the options given to us to choose what aligns with us and to eventually transcend that too.
