Maybe because the stem or flower wilts once the season is over and only the tuber remains, buried under the ground !
The clue is here, Narayan Sir! noidea: who it is, though!)I did not get this analogy. What is it?
It will be a riddle to me until I find out who is referred to! :spy:
Does Krishna also come under Ravan category, as he was also liked by lot of females?
Times are changing and it seems as though the society is slowly, but surely waking up to "alternate points of view". Recently, a Malayalam book titled Ravana has been released and I am told it sketches the pov of Ravana, the defeated party. Similarly, there were books giving povs of Bhima (the No.1 man who was overshadowed by the womaniser Arjuna because krishna preferred him) about Mahabharata happenings; that book is titled "reNDAM UzhaM" and is an award winner. A number of years ago another Tamil book titled Kumbhakarnan came which gave Kumbhakarna's pov of Ramayana.
Ravana was punished for a series of sins committed, and abduction is the last one. He stoutly refused to follow the advice of his wife, brothers, ministers and the helpline offered by rama and his emissary to return and surrender.
Krishna who abducted Rukmini (who was to wed Shisupala), sister of Rukmi, and Devavrata who abducted Amba, Ambika & Ambalika (from the Svayamvara) should also be standing in line to receive punishment from the next avatar !
One can write any version of "..."ayana as his/her pov. But these will be just orphans with limited lifespan, as they do not have any pramana to stand on. They can be called 'misguided delight' though strong words are available to describe such (per)versions. Just picking one sarga from Valmiki Ramayana, one can create his own version, which obviously will spark and vanish.

haha... all hail !
Krishna is different as he is a poornavataram. Rukmini wanted to be abducted by him to escape forced marriage and sent a DM through a brahmin (why?). Ambika and ambalika married kaurava-pandiya princes and lived happily. Amba the unfortunate one was rejected by both, and fulfilled her vow and mission and contributed to the defeat and death of bhishma. All reconciled.
Issue is if one wants to write a new version of these episodes from his pov, he may find publishers and a review in the hindu, but nothing more will happen.
Abducting a 'Lover' / girls before their wedding was permissible.
But, abducting a married woman was an offense.
Anyway, Bishma got punished by Amba in her next birth!
