I dont want the LIKE option to be there cos there are some obsessive people who keep checking the profile of others to see who clicked LIKE for whose posts and then all hells breaks loose sometimes.

BTW I feel its much better without the LIKE button..previously when the LIKE option was around..the 1st thing when we log in we would be curious to know who clicked LIKE for us and felt a kind of happy at times when LIKE were clicked..so to a certain extent that feeds the ego in us..so without the LIKE option I feel we can practice some amount of "online detachment"

The UNLIKE option would be a total disaster and it might cause unwanted problems.

I did not know one could do that in the past :-)

This feature was disabled sometime back after some complaints..So you cannot check the profile of those who clicked Like for others post!

With the above precaution in case Likes are enabled, it would be a welcome addition! Sometimes we are unable to judge if people like our posts or not without the Like button..Unlike button can however be avoided!

The best is not know who liked our post or not..so we can all practice Karmenyvadhi karaste Ma Phaleshu Kadacana!LOL

Unlike button should not be there cos otherwise members might start fighting..without the unlike button itself fights take place..imagine with Unlike button?

Ignorance is bliss..so better not know who likes and who does not like what we write.

I hope you read post #4 and recognized its relevance. While Mr. Gopalan may perhaps eventually come around to seeing your post and pointing to his earlier post nearly 2 years ago, Madam Raji has a point. As a courtesy to you, she took the trouble of remembering and locating his answer. You need to acknowledge and reciprocate that courtesy as well.
Ha HA Ha
naina_marbus ji teaching courtesy to TB members .LOL

BTW there is no use even having a poll to know who wants LIKE or UNLIKE options cos only a few of us would vote and majority of members are in Silent Mode..they wont write or wont vote too!

Sometimes I get fed up of the mutual admiration groups who go on clicking like button, even before reading the post! :ranger:

Members tend to increase the 'like's in the threads they start and give meaningless 'like's to each and every post that appears!

So............ on second thoughts, a big NO to 'like' and 'dislike' buttons!

P.S: There are enough fights in our dear forum even without the 'like' button!! :)

hi

sometimes ppl give like buttons called JALARAS......i think no jalras here....becoz no like buttons...

It is good to have Like Buttons as they serve as a booster to the writer. Wondering whether we should also have dislike button wherein we can express our displeasures also. On both these, one should use it without any favors.

1) Just curious. What is wrong with 'groups' ?
2) In this forum with posters often times using coarse and/or vulgar language and words to hit below the belt in order to thrust their pov , how else will you tackle bullies from monopolising the discussion?
3) With your post #44, are you not thrusting your pov?

Sir
it is getting interesting

1. are groups members sharing some points of view or ideology ,
are you by any chance a member of some group here
2. are there bullies in this forum , thrusting their POV as you put it . on you.
why should anyone bully you . what prevents you in giving a fitting reply. I do not suppose you lack gift of repartee from your posts. your thoughts and posts are illuminating and interesting
3. no one can thrust any view on anyone. you can either rebut or ignore what you do not like

sorry sir
I only repeated what you posted about thrusting POV .
2 your post indicates unusual insensivity towards other members and lack of decorum .
3 I request the moderator to look into this in case the honourable member does not withdraw the personal remarks on me

Dear Naina Sir,

1. I never said it is wrong to have groups! :)

2. Yes! We need groups.

3. Oh! Now I realize it. :D

It was very easy to identify the 'groups' when like button was available.

Even I have seen a couple of profiles to find out who clicked 'like' for a particular post! :spy:
