Dear Dr Raaj and Sravna,
Take a look at this video.
I am pretty sure both of you would have totally different perspectives.
Dr Renuka,
My bad, I missed your lines in my reply:
"I am pretty sure both of you would have totally different perspectives."
"You only need gullible people and you can push any logic. What do you say?"
I beg to differ, Ma'am!
Are you "gullible" even to have put that question out?
"Logic," by any measure, is still "logic." It's not mathematics, where there are usually absolutes. That said, in quadratic & simultaneous equations, "x" can have two or more values depending on the applications & the fields they are used in, like complex theoretical physics or cosmology.
I cannot assume to "push" a concept of "logic" to the level of "illogical" because the "illogical" borders on "absurdity" with no redeeming qualities no matter how one phrases it. As I've suggested multiple times, everything is a matter of "perspective."
One man's meat is another's poison. Walk into a temple, point at the idol, & you can either say it's just a piece of stone or it's imbued with God's energy & presence. Neither perception is wrong because it is what "is & is not; everything & nothing," in the eyes of the beholder.
What we need to do, is to keep it civil & peaceful, is to attempt compromises using diligent, intelligent, discussion, debate, & discourse - the secret to diplomacy & coexistence. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to maintain this equilibrium because of bias & arrogance.
When one party digs in their heels bordering on "absurdity" without substantiation, it goes beyond "logical," don't you agree? The 9.5 you raised your eyebrows, like it did for me, stands at that this "absurd level" in this context. I still insisted that I'm not even a 0.5 on that colossal scale and was continually addressed with "clever" retorts.
Let's take an example: if Shiva appears among us in our daily lives in Kali Yuga, walking around telling everyone who HE is and wanting some form of acknowledgment & respect, will you or anyone believe HIM immediately without question or start thinking who's this dude wearing a costume from a drama production? Won't you ask for proof of power and miracles before you accept HIS divinity? Even Jesus had to perform miracles before he was given a second look.
Man is bestowed with the power of thought (sixth sense) to question everything & anything around him. Because our ancient philosophers asked questions, we've advanced to this level of scientific discoveries and technological advancement to-date. Spiritual advancement is still up for debate because of charlatans and fake Godmen who have ruined it for all, especially for the real seekers of divine knowledge; that which cannot be seen but only felt & observed indiscreetly.
Without asking, you're not using your full capacities & capabilities responsibly, and that's a great insult to our Creator because it has been envisioned that HE made us in HIS image.
HE is deemed to have emotions like passion, love, understanding, compassion, anger, & so on. Thus, the statement that we can invoke HIS wrath by making HIM angry (Kadavul Kutham). Not asking is literally following like sheep, exhibiting the "herd instinct."
Why would you, if you had this undesirable instinct, continue to explore your spiritual side by exchanging ideas & asking questions on this forum or anywhere else? Why don't you completely stop asking questions & mull over the answers within your moral code, which is all the compass you'll ever need, isn't it?
Search within, NOT without because God is in you (Kada-vul) and we are "within" HIM (Sarvam Shivamayam), as there can be nothing "outside/beyond" of HIM as HE is creation itself.
Another insane example: You're a medical doctor & for this scenario, a surgeon working in a small remote village, managing the emergency/trauma station. A patient is brought in with a serious injury that requires immediate surgery, but the previous healthcare team failed to top up the anesthesia medicines & gases. The operating equipment wasn't adequately sterilized, & the suture kits, cotton balls, bandages, plasters, pins, etc. were insufficient to complete the operation safely & successfully. What would you do?
As the doctor on duty, won't you ask why things were left undone (if I were you, I would have thrown a fit & rage)? A person's life is at stake, and due to the inefficient & cavalier attitude of the previous team, you're left holding the bag, having to find quick & safe workarounds to deal with the life-threatening situation at hand, isn't it?
You needed to ask those difficult & troubling questions to fix this preposterous state of affairs, didn't you? That's why I meant by "insane" for this example.
Seeking spiritual knowledge is similar. There are multitudes of interpretations, explanations, & theories out there. One has to sift through all that "noise", no matter how "logical" they may sound at one moment while sounding extremely ridiculous (like Scientology) at other instances. You will eventually find one that resonates with you spiritually, emotionally, & logically appealing to your own essence. Spirituality is one's intimate interaction with their personal Creator & belief-system.
You won't get from Point A to B by throwing "logic" out of the window or by accepting "absurdity," no matter how well it's dressed up.
"BS," by any measure, is still "BS."
I'm truly sorry to have come across as merciless to many here because I am, to my enemies. That's just the way I'm hardwired. As much as I'm merciless, I also forgive easily if approached appropriately.
To err is human, to forgive is Divine. Don't be like me; be divinity.
Hope you have a great 2025!
