Sravna..Just as we see people can get psychiatric problems and be branded schizophrenic, split personality, I think we may extend the concept to groups and large groups even nations. The way some are behaving it befits to conclude that they are afflicted with serious psychiatric problems and sense of grandeur.
Love it!Sravna..
"Whoever's calm and sensible is insane!
----Rumi
Thats a new way of looking at it. It is aligning more with Science with forms coming from energy.Sravna...i was seeing a video which was about spirituality.
It had mentioned about God..that " He concentrated and there was Energy"
Doesnt it give a deeper meaning to " Eko'ham Bahusyam"
Most of us think that God is One and He became many.
The Bahusyam could be talking about Energy.
What do you think?
i wanted to be a parent like my parents
i wanted to be a son like my son
i wanted to be a spouse like my wife,
i wanted be a sibling like my siblings,
How amplifying it is to have them all in a country like India
I am blessed I am born in India and on earth
Renuka,Nice.
But why dont you just Be!
As it is we humans identify strongly with our mind, body and tendencies which we strive to move beyond its tentacles.
So why add on desires to reformat ourselves to be like another person..no matter how close they are to us.
Only in the state of Be, we shed our identity and align with the Divine.
Just say " I am grateful to God for the experience with parents, child, spouse, siblings, nation, planet, universe"
Just Be and it is! (Kun Fayakun)
Its not difficult Sravna.Renuka,
I have always loved your emphasis to just be but very difficult. Then whats this mortal plane for. You are talking about the end point which everyone should have in mind but the journey itself is exciting.
Well said Renuka. I agreeIts not difficult Sravna.
Let me share with you my thoughts.
Do I want to be like anyone?
No.
Reason is because I need to go beyond being myself too eventually and aspiring to be like another is just adding layers to my pre existing karma.
So is there any role model for me?
No.
No role model because that might just make a person a clone of another.
But at the same time we learn by observing ..from our parents to siblings, children,teachers..friends, religious figures, gurus swamijis etc..we learn from all directions.
From some people I observed good qualities..so that I absorb though I need not imitate them.
From some people I observed unpleasant qualities..from them I learnt how not to be like them.
That's why all we can be is grateful to God for experiences we face though some might be very unpleasant.
We all come to this world to weave patterns in the tapestry of existence.
We observe past patterns yet we weave our own story only to go beyond that some day.
I wanted to add and with great difffculty resisted the followingi wanted to be a parent like my parents
i wanted to be a son like my son
i wanted to be a spouse like my wife,
i wanted be a sibling like my siblings,
How amplifying it is to have them all in a country like India
I am blessed I am born in India and on earth
Agreed..when I see Britain or America has talent shows..some of the contestants from various parts of the world have just out of this world talent. There is a lot of talent in people . I see people performing tasks which i believe would not be possible for me to do. But we can try to learn from others at least. Having said that i have my own strengths too. It is about interacting, observing and learning from one another
