Kiran, a post-graduate degree holder in computer science from Punjab University, lost her job two years ago for embracing her identity as a transgender and since then, she has had to resort to begging to sustain herself. On March 6, 2014, I resigned forcibly and got myself out, even though my human resources and directors motivated me to continue over there," Sakhi told ANI.

[h=3]To save his job, 25-year-old murders senior citizen; held in Mumbai[/h] The Mumbai police picked up a 25-year-old man from Kashmir and arrested him Thursday night for allegedly murdering a senior citizen residing in Jogeshwari. Police, who have identified the accused as Rafiq Mohammed Chowdhury, said he was a maintainance worker at Rizwan Apartment housing society in Jogeshwari where the victim resided, and took the drastic step as he was worried about losing his job. A week before the murder took place, the society had fired the private security agency and the society members had warned Chowdhury told that his job was also on the line.

The small posters bearing the name of the Poorvanchal Sena and its president Adarsh Sharma were seen at bus stops and Metro stations in the New Delhi district. Adarsh Sharma, president of Poorvanchali Sena, said he put up at least 1,500 posters offering Rs 11 lakh for killing Kumar.

[h=3]Trendsetter Treadmill: Fitness now part of the daily life of slum women of Jai Hind Nagar, Mumbai[/h] In a first in Mumbai slums, women in nightgowns and sarees, have now taken to a treadmill in a 200-square-foot room in Mankhurd's Jai Hind Nagar that they call "maher ghar" (maika). What encouraged them was a room provided for free by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation atop a community toilet block in Mankhurd. The saree tucked around her waist, Vijaya Kishan Jadhav, at 55, slowly starts walking on the treadmill, her hands gripped on its two handles.

This year, a five-member jury comprising Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Salim Khan, Nitin Mukesh and Anup Jalota unanimously recommended Kumar's name for the award.

"Air India will fly 20 domestic flights with all-women crew on March 8 to observe the International Women's Day. The details regarding their routes and timings are expected to be disclosed by Monday evening," an airline official told IANS on Sunday.
