Rajan leaving RBI to save his self respect: Swamy

New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who has been one of the chief critics of Raghuram Rajan, on Saturday welcomed the latter decision to leave his post as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor on the completion of his term this year, saying he was not even getting a second term in the first place. The increasing proportion of declined visas has prompted Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale to enquire from New Delhi the reasons for a large number of requests being turned down. With nearly 53 per cent applications rejected this year, there is a big jump in the proportion of visas being denied in the last two years — 24 per cent in 2015 and 17 per cent in 2014.
