Brahma is always depicted as a very old man with flowing beards on all the four faces.

Vishnu is playing a double role as the spouse of both Lord Siva and Lakshmi Devi!

In the sahasranaama archanai of Lord Siva one of the names is 'Vishnu Vallabhaaya Namah!'

So it is officially recognized the Vishnu is the wife of Lord Siva and the husband of Lakshmi Devi!:thumb:

There are some dedicated Vaishnavas in the forum; they may dispute the official recognition.

The 'official recognition' is not given by me but by our seers of the past!
I did not formulate the sahasranaama of any God - let alone Lord Siva!!
Gods have come into being from one and the same unlimited power like cell division.
I myself have selected Baby Krishna as my avatar.
Yet I have no problem in writing Thiruvilaiyaadal puraanam or Thirumanthiram.
It is high time dedicated devotees also become mature devotees.

“ஹரியும் சிவனும் ஒண்ணு ; இதை
அறியாதவன் வாயில் மண்ணு !”
என்று கூறுவார் முன்னோர்கள்;
என்றாலும் சிலர் கேட்பதில்லை.

கனியாத பக்தி உடைய ஒருவன்,
தனியாக சிவபிரானை மட்டுமே
கனிவோடு தொழுது வந்ததான்;
பணியான் வேறொரு கடவுளை.

ஒரு நாள் சிவனே நேரில் தோன்றி
“ஒன்றே தெய்வம் என்றறியாயோ?”
என்ற போதிலும் மீண்டும் அவன்
எந்தக் கடவுளையும் வணங்கவில்லை.

சங்கர நாராயணனாய் வந்தபோதும்,
சங்கரனை மட்டுமே வணங்கினான்;
ஹரியை விடுத்து விட்டான் அவன்;
ஹரனாலும் மாற்ற முடியவில்லை.

தீவிர பக்தியும், மாறாத வெறுப்பும்,
தூண்டிவிட்டது மற்றவர்களையும்!
“விஷ்ணு! விஷ்ணு!” என்ற நாமத்தை
வெறுப்பேற்ற வேண்டிக் கூறலாயினர்.

காதில் அப்பெயர் விழாமல் இருக்க,
காதில் இரண்டு மணிகளை அணிந்து,
காதுகளை ஆட்டிச் சப்தம் செய்தவன்,
கண்டா கர்ணன் எனப் பெயர் பெற்றான்.

கண்டா கர்ணனைப் போன்றே பல
கண்மூடித்தனமான வேறு பக்தர்களும்
இறைவனிடம் காட்டும் வினோத பக்தியில்,
வெறுப்பே விருப்பையும்விட அதிகம்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
உருவமும், அருவமும்



எங்கும் நிறைந்த இறைவன் எவனோ அவன்
எந்த உருவமோ அன்றி உடலோ இல்லாதவன்;
எங்கும் நிறைந்த அவனை வெறும் அருவமாக
எண்ணிப் பார்ப்பதும் வெகு கடினமே ஆகும்.

ஐம்பொறிகள் வழியே அனைத்தையும்,
ஐயம் திரிபற அறிந்து கொள்ளும் நாம்,
ஐயம் பொறிகளின் உதவி சற்றும் இன்றி
ஐயனையும் கூட அறிந்துவிட முடியாது.

உருவ வழிபாடு தோன்றியது இந்த
ஒரு காரணத்திற்காகவே அறிவோம்;
அருமை பெருமைகள் அனைத்தையும்
ஒருங்கே பெற்ற ஒரு அழகிய வடிவு!

நினைக்கும்போதே மனம் நிறைந்து
நனைக்கும் கண்ணீர்த் துளிகள் வழிந்து;
இனிக்கும் அந்த உருவத்திடம் மயங்கி
மனத்தை பறி கொடாதார் யாரோ?

உருவ வழிபாட்டை மறுக்கும் மதமும்
உருவங்களின் துணையையே நாடும்;
இறைவனின் தூதனாகவோ, அல்லது
இறைவனின் சிறந்த குழந்தையாகவோ.

வெற்றிடத்தின் மீது மனத்தைப் பதித்து,
வெகு நேரம் தியானம் செய்வது கடினம்;
உள்ளத்தைக் கொள்ளை கொள்ளும் அழகில்
உள்ளத்தைத் தொலைத்துவிடலாம் எளிதாக!

மந்திரம், தந்திரம், யந்திரம் என்கின்ற
மூன்றுமே பலன் அளிக்கும் ஒருபோலவே;
சுந்தர ரூபம் தரும் இன்பத்தை வேறு
எந்த ரூபமுமே தர இயலாது அல்லவா?

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
 விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
If God is one formless unlimited power then why do we have so many different gods?

Sugar is sweet! Then why do we have so many different sweets made from the Same sugar?

Why can't we have one standard sweet and make everyone eat it???

The pleasure given by any woman is the same.

Then why do men want to bed as many women as possible???

Denim cloth is the same.

Then why do we have so many different shades of blue the same denim?

Jeans has become the second layer of skin for the wearers of both genders.

Then why do we have so many different styles of jeans?

Man wants variety. Variety is the spice of life.

Man does not appreciate a choice-less existence.

It is just for this one reason we have so many choices in everything

we see, hear, smell, taste, use, ride, wear and worship!

Human nature is to go on searching something in different forms without aim to appease / assuage / gratify / satiate / satisfy / content……… the mind which has its own unmanageable quenches.

Precisely! That is why we have so many Gods having so many different looks, powers, features and weapons.
Even the terrifying Grama Devatas with bulging bellies and RAvaNa like mustache are gods and appeal to some people.
Each one selects the God who appeals to him /her and adore that God. Nothing wrong in it as long as man is pure in heart.

I believed that ONLY pregnant women salivate looking at raw green mangoes and the glowing yellow lemons. :rolleyes:
The other day in the airport I saw a young couple and the wife was pregnant beyond any doubts!
She was eating 'keeththu maangai' with red chili power and salt with such a great interest that
her husband was salivating just by looking at her eat with so much interest in such a crowded place.
I felt slight sensitivity in my teeth thinking of the taste of what she was eating! :)
