Because the study is the first of its kind, everything the researchers discovered is new, Wong told Live Science. In March 2016, Wong found the first known live colony of T. rex ants in a piece of rotting wood stuck in the ground in Singapore's Mandai area, just south of Malaysia and north of the Singapore Zoo.

Thailand's chunky monkey on diet after gorging on junk food

A morbidly obese wild monkey who gorged himself on junk food and soda left behind by tourists has been rescued and placed on a strict diet of lean protein, fruits and vegetables. Wildlife officials caught the chunky monkey — nicknamed "Uncle Fat" by locals — after photos of the animal started circulating on social media last month. Wild monkeys roam free in many parts of Thailand, attracting tourists who feed and play with the animals.

Scientists Are Bringing Back Extinct Species

De-extinction-the science of reviving species that have been lost-has moved from the realm of science-fiction to something that is now nearly feasible. Some types of lost mammals, birds or frogs may soon be able to be revived through de-extinction technologies. Without an answer to “where do we put them?” - and to the further question, “what changed in their original habitat that may have contributed to their extinction in the first place?” - efforts to bring back species are a colossal waste.

Will this be a good idea really??? :decision:

[h=3]After a sea lion yanks a little girl off a dock, officials blast her family for 'reckless behavior'[/h] Sea lions are adorable and entertaining until they pull small children into the harbor, millions of horrified viewers learned from a viral video this weekend. But Vancouver B.C. harbor officials don't blame the sea lion - instead, they're blasting the family of the girl who was dragged into the water Saturday for "reckless behavior," the Seattle Times reports. Despite signs posted in the area warning visitors not to feed marine mammals, the little girl was feeding the sea lion bread when it grabbed her by her dress and pulled her into the water. The girl can be seen in the video being rescued by a man who dives in after her, and although shaken, she appears to walk away relatively unscathed.

Should we be afraid of those sea lions on Fisherman’s Wharf?
