During my trip to USA in February my boarding pass was marked by the sound made by a slithering slimy snake "SSSS".

Of course I did neither notice it not know about it at that time. It was in Frankfurt where the kind wheel chair assistant warned me that I will have to undergo the tight security clearance.

I was body scanned at frankfurt and the German police wanted to talk to me and "Not over coffee"

They tested my hands and walking stick for any trace of drugs. I was pronounced CLEAN and allowed to go off in less than a minute.

The sight of those over sized men and women in uniform - with unblinking eyes and unsmiling faces - would have been enough to scare a lesser traveler!

I made an important decision on that day....No more shaking hand with anyone - WHILE traveling by air - especially to visit Uncle Sam!

You do not want to see this. It is not good. Particularly if you are flying in the USA, where that four-letter snake-like sound declares that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has selected you for extra screening procedures. It stands for "Secondary Security Screening Selection", and it means that Uncle Sam is suspicious about you. He has some prior information he would like to discuss with you. Probably not over coffee. Perhaps in a scenario involving rubber gloves. It is not your lucky day.

சுவர்கமும் நரகமும் எப்படி வேறுபடும்?
அவற்றுள் என்ன பேதம் அறிவீரா?
சுவர்க்கமும் நரகமும் வேறுபடுவது
அவற்றுள் வசிக்கும் ஆத்மாக்களாலே!

சுவர்க்கம் நரகம் இரண்டையுமே
சுற்றி வந்து ஒருவர் பார்த்தபோது,
இரண்டில் உள்ளவர்களின் நிலையும்
இருந்தது ஒரு போலவே, விந்தை!

கையுடன் சேர்த்துக் கட்டி இருந்தனர்
கனத்த நீண்ட மரக் கரண்டி ஒன்று.
எதிரில் அறுசுவை உணவு இருந்தும்,
எடுத்துத் தாமே உண்ண இயலாது!

நரகத்தில் வசிப்போர் உணவின்றி
நானா இன்னல்கள் அடைத்தாலும்,
சுவர்க்கவாசிகள் உணவு உண்டு,
சுகமாகவே இருந்து வந்தனர்!

எப்படி இது சாத்தியம் என வியந்தால்,
இப்படித்தான் எனச் செய்து காட்டினர்.
சுவர்க்கவாசி ஒவ்வொருவரும் தம்
எதிரே உள்ளவருக்கு ஊட்டி விட்டார்.

நரகவாசிகள் நவின்றதோ இப்படி!
“நான் ஏன் ஊட்டிவிட வேண்டும்?
பசியுடன் நான் இருப்பது போலவே,
பசியுடன் அவனும் இருக்கட்டுமே!”

நரகமும் சுவர்க்கமும் நமது மனங்களே!
நரகமும் சுவர்க்கமும் வெளியே இல்லை.
நாலு பேருக்கு உதவுவதுதான் சுவர்க்கம்.
“நான்! எனது!” என்றே வாழ்வது நரகம்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.​
