Translucent saris are better than transparent net saris any day !!!

[h=3]Translucent saris are the trend now - The Economic Times[/h] From translucent saris in net to ones in fabrics like chiffon and georgette, the trend at the moment, atleast for those looking to do ethnic wear with a twist, is to flaunt a bit of skin, but in the right, lady-like way. Over the past couple of weeks, we've had various sightings of the net sari at various festive celebrations around the globe. The most eye-catching way to sport this trend is to pair it with a blouse and petticoat in pop colours like Shriya Saran. You can also opt for a net sari in a bright, eye-catching hue with a heavily embellished or embroidered blouse.

GOOGLE says to Google + "Bye bye bhai bhai"!!!

Google+, which was supposed to create a huge social network with a billion or more users, proved no match to Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Google+ was started with two main goals: one, Google+ aspired to be both a “platform layer that unified Google’s sharing models”, and two, a product, stream or app in its own right.

[h=3]Tourism boom drives Japan to convert offices into hotels[/h] By Junko Fujita TOKYO (Reuters) - Record tourists to Japan are stretching the ability of hotels to accommodate them in a sector constrained by high costs, forcing developers to think out of the box for means to quickly increase lodging options without breaking the bank. Japan is on target this year to beat the record 13.4 million visitors in 2014, helped by a weak yen and easier visa requirements for some Asian countries. The government is aiming to attract 20 million visitors by 2020, when Tokyo hosts the Olympics, to revitalise the world's third-biggest economy. The rising influx of tourists is already squeezing existing accommodation supply in Tokyo, which has about 100,000 hotel rooms.

Diabetic? Don't skip breakfast

New York, July 29 (IANS) Diabetics who skip breakfast may have elevated blood sugar levels throughout the day, warns new research. Fasting until noon triggers major blood sugar spikes and impairs the insulin responses of Type-2 diabetics throughout the rest of the day, the researchers said. "For Type-2 diabetic individuals, the omission of breakfast is associated with a significant increase in all-day blood sugar spikes and of HbA1C, which represents average blood glucose levels over the preceding three months," said researcher Daniela Jakubowicz, a professor at the Tel Aviv University in Israel.

The great soul is no more. I had worked with him nearly for 8 years when he was in DRDO
as Director/Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister. A simple, work conscious and result
oriented person. May his soul rest in peace.

With so many projects of DRDO delayed in various stages, his services would have been helpful if the UPA govt had opted. He had to exit nalanda university too because of amartya sen and the way it was (not) run.
