Think or sink!

Juju kuttty has got properly hooked to her little sari.

She has to wear it every other day now!!!

When she wears it she becomes JUJU mommy for her dolls (three in number now).

Not just that.

She says that like all the mommies and maamis she has difficulty in walking! :faint:

Got duly impressed by the umpteen maamis (with difficulty in walking)

we saw in the Dhyaanalingam temple yesterday.

What a keen observation and realistic projection !!! :first:

The truth about weight loss surgery

If you're considering weight loss surgery, this is for you. 5 truths about surgery that no one will tell you

Proper diet, timely food, 3 days a week exercise/gym workout for 2 hours, drinking minimum 3 Lt. of water every day etc.etc. are more than enough to maintain a slim/well figured & healthy body. But most of the people turn out to be lazy and want quick make over. In this bargain, opt for such surgery and suffer health issues in due course of time.

We got an invitation card by post. The address was 100% correct but we could not place the sender of the invite -

since the name was not a familiar one.

Suddenly it flashed to my husband that the odd name belonged to one of his classmates in G.C.T in the 1962 batch.

I almost fainted to learn that it was the wedding invite of his GRANDSON and not his SON!

We have grandchildren aged 4 and less than 4, while has has a grandson in a marriageable age.

So who is more worldly wise he or we???

In the Dhyaana Lingam temple I met another lady from near Madurai, who had difficulty in walking -

AFTER she had undergone total knee replacement surgery for both her knees.

She must have been younger to me atleast by a decade if not more.

While I could manage to sit on a step and on a small stool least than 12" high,

she could sit only on a chair with 18" height of more.

But another surprise awaited me.

The pretty girl accompanying her - who I thought to be her daughter - was in fact her grand daughter.

She must have imagined that my little JUJU kutty is my great- grand daughter! :)

Is it because the Brahmin Boys need to be highly qualified?

Is it because they need to earn a fat salary to become acceptable for the MOD & MAD girls?

Is it because they need to fill their homes with everything needed for living comfortably

- except a cute little wife - EVEN before they get married?

What actually delays their marriage?

What delays their having their children?

Why do we have to wait till we turn 60+ and 70+ before we could see out grandchildren???

During my visit to Dhyaana lingam temple in 2007,

I was able to climb down the three 18" ACUPRESSURE steps.

This time I could not even get down through them.

We keep talking about progress all the time.

The only thing that certainly shows progress is our disease or discomforts.

Progressive in the real sense of the term!!!

I envied the volunteers who were clad in immaculate white clothes

and talked fluently in Tamil and English and may be they know Hindi too.

They have purchased cottages in the temple premises and

settled down peacefully and usefully for the rest of their lives.

When I visited the temple with my second son and his bride - soon after the wedding-

we found the atmosphere there so peaceful that I said,"I wish I could live here "

My son echoed my words and his cute, little new bride said a in panicky voice,

"Then what is to become of me?"..

Wishing is one thing and doing it is quite another!!!

In the past it was all male - or males and females ( looking like males)

with shaved heads / and uniform of yellow T shirt and blue jeans.

The only attractive female element was the GOLD LEAF called Vana Sree

fixed on the tree carved on a stone.

Now there are several girls and ladies working wearing uniforms.

Some others might be the family members of the volunteers.

One need poorva janma puNyam to live in such serene places. :hail:

This is a very good point actually.

When I underwent a tortuous computer qualification certificate course from one institute in Gandhipuram, there was a girl in one of the other batches (jain, I should think so). Quite a lot of ogling happened.

One day, we were shocked to learn that she had married. So young, but then, she continued on with her studies, and we continued on with our...

The point I wanted to make was that only brahmins seem to delay the marriage of their kids, quite abnormally, in some cases. Other castes make sure to marry their kids young, or, at least, when they complete their degree.

For girls, it is usually the horoscope porutham, and it stretches on infinitely until she elopes.

And for boys, it is a good job, preferably with a potential to travel abroad !
