Think or sink!

:heh:

:loco:

:thumb:

Punctuality

Punctuality is good when it is just right-
neither the Indian punctuality of turning up ALWAYS late nor
the over punctuality of some people turning up before anyone else does-
including the organizers!

They will be among the the first few persons - even if not the first-
in any queue when the counter opens
be it a bank, cinema hall or railway ticket counter.

They go to a marriage even before the people of the wedding party arrive.

It is a disease of the mind...driving people nuts
both those who get tired of seeing the same face in the queue
and those who are always :whip: and  at!

Think of Pink and you will see it everywhere!

Today we went by the Rajasthani sangham.

Guess what....???

The large showy decorative pillars set outside was shocking pink in color or

what we used to call as the pattuk kungumak color or bougainvillaea flower

color.

th
th

The ladies coming and going in the road were mostly dressed in shades of this

color or copper sulfate blue or orange. So I understood the valid reasons

behind nickname Rajasthaanee! :)

A natural beauty features in most of the photos of Rajasthani girls!

I am sure she KNOWS that he is beautiful - from the look in her eyes!!

If a girl DOES not know that she is pretty, that will make her all the more fascinating...

unaware of her own charms and beauty - very much like the children we adore.

A hat trick is a repeat performance three times continuously.

Is there a special name for the repeat performance greater than three times??

If so what is it or what are they???

Depends on the context. If it is about scoring more points in sports ,super hat trick is often a name used.

In positive social contexts, like winning repeatedly in alottery, it is called a miracle! If a student flunks repeatedly in his exams,it is called failure!

Otherwise, repeat performance may also be referred to as obssessive compulsive disorder (OCD).

Just one example: For instance, you lock the front door of your house and go out, walk some distanceand then get a doubt as to whether you locked the door properly or not, comeback, pull the lock to be sure that it is locked, go out again, then come backonce again, etc – that is OCD! If some one makes irrelevant posts repeatedly, that would be OCD!

There is also Tourette syndrome.

WOW!!! I knew all these words except the Tourette syndrome -

but I did not connect them with the repeat performances.

Thank you prof N_M! :yo:

Any special word for more than three ducks :bump2:

scored by a batsman in Cricket match???

Tourette syndrome (also called Tourette's syndrome, Tourette's disorder, Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, GTS or, more commonly, simply Tourette's or TS) is an inherited neuropsychiatric disorder with onset in childhood, characterized by multiple physical (motor) tics and at least one vocal (phonic) tic. These tics characteristically wax and wane, can be suppressed temporarily, and are preceded by a premonitory urge.

Tourette's is defined as part of a
spectrum of tic disorders, which includes transient and chronic tics.

Tourette's was once considered a rare and bizarre syndrome, most often associated with the exclamation of obscene words or socially inappropriate and derogatory remarks (coprolalia), but this symptom is present in only a small minority of people with Tourette's.[SUP]

[/SUP]Tourette's is no longer considered a rare condition, but it is not always correctly identified because most cases are mild and the severity of tics decreases for most children as they pass through adolescence. Between 0.4% and 3.8% of children ages 5 to 18 may have Tourette's.

[SUP]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourette_syndrome#cite_note-Robertson2011-2[/SUP] The prevalence of transient and chronic tics in school-age children is higher, with the more common tics of eye blinking, coughing, throat clearing, sniffing, and facial movements. Extreme Tourette's in adulthood is a rarity, and Tourette's does not adversely affect intelligence or life expectancy.

Genetic and environmental factors play a role in the etiology of Tourette's, but the exact causes are unknown. In most cases, medication is unnecessary. There is no effective treatment for every case of tics, but certain medications and therapies can help when their use is warranted. Education is an important part of any treatment plan, and explanation and reassurance alone are often sufficient treatment.[SUP]

[/SUP][SUP]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourette_syndrome#cite_note-3[/SUP] Comorbid conditions (co-occurring diagnoses other than Tourette's) such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) are present in many patients seen in tertiary specialty clinics. These other conditions often cause more functional impairment to the individual than the tics that are the hallmark of Tourette's, hence it is important to correctly identify comorbid conditions and treat them.[SUP]

[/SUP]

The eponym was bestowed by Jean-Martin Charcot (1825–1893) on behalf of his resident, Georges Albert Édouard Brutus Gilles de la Tourette (1859–1904), a French physician and neurologist, who published an account of nine patients with Tourette's in 1885.

Strange but true!!!

The same ambulance driver had got admitted

half a dozen riders of two wheelers

after picking them up from the same spot

due to the same reason...

skidding due to loosened soil!!!

I am told it WAS NOT on the same day!

(It might be excusable if it was on the same day)

Where can such things happen except

in Mera Mahaan Bhaarat??? :noidea:

They dig narrow deep pits for bore wells

but never bother to cover them up

once it is completed or even

when the works is interrupted. :tsk:

When a child falls into the pit, it will become

a news of international importance! :director:

How many men and how much

time /money/ effort do we need

to cover up a 2' x 2' opening

in a place filled with kids??? :frusty:

I am reminded of our own adventure on a two wheeler when we rode on the

wet track made by a truck running in front of us.

We saw half a dozen riders of two wheelers travel in a big arc of a circle

before falling thud vehicle and all in the center of the arc.

I told my husband not to go near the wet track but he did it all the same

and zoom and thud...we were the next victims... that too

on the way to board the train bound to Chennai from Vizag.

The blasted truck was transporting fish and I guess

the wet track was caused by the leakage of a water + oily mess.

Muscle juice!!!:dizzy:

The name itself will put off all vegetarians and vegans. :bolt:

The man in the ad will put off every one away. :flock:

Why do his veins stand out like snakes below the stretched human skin???

You could probably call him ‘duck-duck-dumbo’ ?
One more repetitive situation: if some one repeatedly follows you wherever you go, that is called stalking!

I like this phrase!

It sounds like Hip hip hurray :cheer2:

but means exactly the opposite :)

Who can know better than me

about stalking-real or virtual??? :spy:
