When a Kerala church offers rs 10000 for the fifth child and zakir niak tells in a public meeting every man must father 12 children, there are no dissenting murmurs. If he had preceded his sentence with ' others'commands', balance will be maintained.

Dear Mr. Sarang,

Anybody can say anything! :blah:

WHY only 5 kids or 12 kids??? :bump2:

We can advocate EACH MAN TO BECOME A KUCHELA!!!

He is bound to become one -

if he has as many kids as Kuchela.

KUCHELA means one dressed in tatters and torn clothes.

There is no better way of promoting cannibalism

since hunger knows no laws! :(

Is talking nonsense justified

JUST BECAUSE

the others are doing it too???

All the gurus and maharaajs must promote the concept of

producing sat putras and sath putrees and not

kids in dozens like piglets and rabbits.

We are humans born for a better purpose

than to meet, mate, eat, procreate and die. :(

O.K! Agreed that the lucky fifth child gets Rs.10 K
just for being born in a particular place and a family. :baby:
WHO is going to feed it, educate it, clothe it and get it setttled in life...
its short sighted parents OR their religious institution???

Probably the Tailless Tenrec (Tenrec ecaudatus) of Madagascar, although it depends how you measure it.

Mammals can have very variable litter sizes, but as a rule, the maximum litter size is the number of nipples, and the average litter size about half that.

In their native Madagascar, Tailless Tenrecs (21-29 nipples) have litters of roughly 15 on average, with up to 32 reported in the wild.

The naked mole-rat would be another contender, with one litter of 33 reported.

Many of us have come from big families and lower middle. Parents did what they could, we managed with combined resources of the family unit.

Very very true sir! We had survived well on very little money. But it will not be possible now.

You know the monthly rent of a house/ flat, the enormous school and college fees and the spiralling prices of the food items.

Those golden days when we could raise two kids on a monthly take-home-pay of a mere 100 Rs is gone with the wind - once for all! :(

A girl will not consent to marry a boy UNLESS he owns a home and has stuffed it with all the modern gadgets - to make her life easy.

Gone are our days when we happily ground the dough with the cheap but heavy grinding stones ( kal ural , kuzhavi and ammi) and hand-washed clothes and sun dried them. :pout:

Snake spotted in the temple!

Many ladies light two mud lamps each and do their own haarathi in the temple. One lady went to take the lamps from the tray.
A snake had coiled round very close to the tray but she did not nortice it. The snake climbed on to a nearby tree and went up over to the temple roof.
Panic struck us all and everything including the withered garlands, the dresses removed from the moorthis appeared like sankes.
Ponnammaal is terror struck and is requesting us to get the no man's land outside the temple but inside the compound wall cleared of all the shrubs.
Snake in a temole hwere Devi, Vinayaka and Muruga are worshipe is not new but the terror is new.

More stories about snakes emerged soon!

There were two snakes - one thin long cobra and the other a short chaarai ( its mate?)

The cobre entwines aroud the money plant of one of the flats
where the man had died leaving behind his wife and daughter.

They are not afraid of the snake and allow it to visit them regularly.

That led to some important observations and inferences.

1. The man who owned that house was very tall lean and had crafy eyes. ( common features with that snake???)

2. He had roving eyes for females but loved is family well.

3. Bengalis are NOT afraid of snakes.

4. They may welcome it or tell it to go away- calling it as Manasa Devi!

5. Is it the same man who comes to protect his wife and daughter in the form of a snake?

6. Is that WHY they are unafraid of that snake?

If only the snake could talk, I can get the facts and assumptions straigtened out!

Tha latest vicious cycle I learned about today!

Certain drugs make a person put on weight - unmindful of the nature, quality and quantity of the food the person eats.

This leads to more obesity and its related problmes thereby increasing the dosage of the same medicines.

The increased dose of drugs aggravates those problems..

The vicious cycle goes on to punish the poor victim who is not only deneied of proper tasty food but also advised by everyone as "chaappaataik kuRaiyungo!"

ithai enge poi uraikkirathu ??? :decision: kuraikkirathu???
