Two days ago, I wondered how a man can reconcile
to live with his wife polluted both mentally and physically.

Even Devaguru Bruhaspati had done a similar thing when his wife
Taaraa chose to live with Chandran in stead of the Devaguru.

The story goes thus!
 
1#11a. தாரையின் காதல்

பிருஹஸ்பதியின் மனைவி தாரை,
பிரமிக்க வைக்கின்ற அழகிய பெண்.

சென்றாள் ஒருமுறை சந்திரனின் இல்லம்;
வென்றான் அவன் அவள் மனதை அழகால்.

அறிவை இழந்து விட்டனர் இருவரும்.
வெறி கொண்டு குலாவி மகிழ்ந்தனர்.

“சந்திரனின் இல்லம் சென்ற என் தாரை
எந்தக் காரணத்தால் திரும்பவில்லை?”

சிந்தாகுலம் மிக அடைந்தார் தேவகுரு,
சந்திரனிடம் அனுப்பினார் மாணவனை.

“தேவகுரு பணித்தார் என்னைக் கூறும்படி,
தேவி நீங்கள் இல்லம் திரும்ப வேண்டும்!”

கண்டும் காணாமலும் சென்றாள் தாரை.
திண்ணமாக அலட்சியம் செய்தாள் அதை.

“சுவாமி மன்னித்து விடுங்கள் என்னை!
சுயபுத்தி இழந்து விட்டார் உமது பத்தினி!”

ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவர் சென்று அழைத்தும்
திரும்பவில்லை தாரை தன் கணவனிடம்.

சந்திரனிடம் மயங்கிக் கிடந்தாள் அவள்.
சந்திரனின் மாளிகை சென்றார் தேவகுரு.

“குருபத்தினியைக் கூடினாயா சந்திரா?
குருபத்தினி ஒரு தாய்க்கு சமம் அன்றோ?

பிரம்ம ஹத்தி செய்தவன், மதுக் குடித்தவன்,
குருபத்தினியைக் கூடினவன், பொன் திருடன்,

கொடிய பாவிகள் என்று அறியாயோ நீ ?
கொடிய பாவி ஆகிவிட்டாயே சந்திரா நீ!

தேவருடன் சஞ்சரிக்கும் தகுதி இழந்தாய்!
தேவையின்றி நிந்திக்கப் படுவாய் நீ இனி!

தீரப் பழிக்கு ஆளாவாய் உன் செயலால்!
தீராது அந்தப்பழி சிவனருளாலும் கூட!”

“கோபம் அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது உம்மிடம்.
கோபம் கொண்டவனை பூஜிக்கக் கூடாது.

திரும்பி வரத் தாரை விரும்பியிருந்தால்
திரும்பி வர எத்தனை நேரம் தேவை கூறும்.

அத்தனை மாணவர்கள் அழைத்த போதும்
இத்தனை பிடிவாதமாக இருக்கின்றாளே!

இஷ்டப் பட்டால் உம்மிடம் வருவாள்!
இஷ்டப் படாவிட்டால் இங்கிருப்பாள்!

இனிமை காண்பீர் நீர் உம் தனிமையிலே;
இனிமை காண்போம் நாங்கள் உறவிலே!”

நாணித் தலை குனிந்து திரும்பினார்-பின்
மீண்டும் சென்றார் தேவகுரு சந்திரனிடம்.

“குரு அழைப்பதாகச் சந்திரனிடம் சொல்!”
குரு அழைத்தும் வெளிவரவில்லை சந்திரன்.

‘பெண்டாளும் சண்டாளனுக்குத் தகுந்த
தண்டனை தரவேண்டும் தவறாமல் நான்!

நகைப்புக்கு இடமாகிவிடும் – சந்திரன்
அகப்பட்டும் தண்டனை தராவிட்டால்!’

கூவினார் வயிறு எரியத் தெருவில் நின்று,
“பாவி உன்னைச் சாம்பலாக்கி விடுவேன்!

தெருவில் என்னை நிறுத்திவிட்டு நீசா!
குரு மனைவியுடன் குலாவுகின்றாயா நீ?”

1#11c. இந்திரன்

கோபத்தோடு வெளிப்ப பட்டான் சந்திரன்,
“மோஹத்தோடு பிதற்றுகின்றீர் ஐயா நீர்!

அவலட்சணமான உம்முடன் வாழ்ந்தால்
அவமானம் தான் மிஞ்சும் தேவி தாரைக்கு.

குரூபியுடன் நீர் திருமணம் முடித்திருந்தால்
பொருத்தமாக இருக்கும் உருவத்தில் உமக்கு.

தனக்குச் சமமான ரூப லாவண்யதைத் தன்
கணவனிடமும் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றாள் பெண்.

பொருத்தம் இல்லாத உம்மை வெறுக்கின்றாள்
பொருத்தமான என்னை தாரை விரும்புகின்றாள்.

கோபம், தாபம், சாபம் எதுவுமே பலிக்காது!
போகும் வழியைப் பார்த்துச் செல்லும் நீர்!”

மதிக்காமல் பேசினான் குருவிடம் – பின்னர்
மாளிகைக்குள் சென்றுவிட்டான் சந்திரன்.

நொந்து விட்டார் மனம் குரு பிருகஸ்பதி
இந்திரனிடம் சென்றார் உதவி கேட்க.

வரவேற்ற இந்திரன் உபசாரம் செய்தான்.
விரிவாகக் கேட்டான் துயரக் கதையை.

“பிறன் மனைவியை அபகரித்திட்டானா
பிறன் மனைவியை விழையும் சந்திரன்?

தூதுவனை அனுப்புகின்றேன் முதலில்;
தூது பலன் தராவிட்டால் அடுத்துப் போர்!”

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி

தூதுவன் சென்றான் சந்திரனிடம் உடனே.
“நீதி நெறி அறியாதவனா நீயும் சந்திரா?

அத்திரி மகா முனிவரின் புத்திரன்
இத்தகைய செயல் செய்யலாகுமா?

மாற்றான் மனைவியை அபகரித்தல் பாபம்.
மாற்றான் உன் மனைவியை அபகரித்தால்?

கட்டழகியர் உள்ளனர் உன் அந்தப்புரத்தில்,
எட்டும் இருபதும் என்று தக்ஷன் குமாரிகள்.

தேவ மகளிர் உள்ளனர் உல்லாசத்துக்கு!
தேவை இல்லை குருபத்தினியுடன் உறவு.

திருப்பி அனுப்பிவிடு தாரையை உடனேயே!
மறுத்தால் பிறக்கும் போரும், கலகமும்.”

அயரவில்லை இதைக் கேட்டு சந்திரன்
“கயவன் இந்திரனின் அறிவுரைகளா?

நீதிநெறிப்படி நடப்பவன் சொல்லவேண்டும்
நீதி நெறிகளைப் பிறர்க்கு எடுத்து உரைத்து.

பிறன் மனைவியை அனுபவிப்பது பற்றிக்
குறை கூறுகின்றானோ இன்று தேவராஜன்?

காம சாஸ்திரம் இயற்றினார் தேவகுரு.
காம சாஸ்திரம் கூறுவது என்ன தெரியுமா?

பெண் ஆணிடம் கொண்ட ஆறாத காதல்
பெண்ணை ஆண் சுகிக்க அனுமதிக்கும்!

வலியவனுக்கு உரியவர் மகளிர் அனைவரும்!
எளியவனுக்கோ எனில் மனைவியும் இல்லை.

தாரை விரும்புவது என்னை மட்டுமே!
தாரை விரும்பவில்ல தேவகுருவை!

விட மாட்டேன் ஒருநாளும் தாரையை
முடிந்ததைச் செய்யலாம் தேவராஜன்.”

சந்திரன் கூறிய மொழிகளைத் தூதுவன்
இந்திரனிடம் சென்று எடுத்துரைத்தான்

சினம் கொண்டான்; சீறினான் இந்திரன்;
சேனையுடன் போனான் உடனே போருக்கு

பகைவனின் பகைவன் நண்பன் ஆயிற்றே!
ப்ருஹஸ்பதியின் பகைவன் சுக்ரனின் நண்பன்.

சந்திரனைக் காணச் சென்றான் சுக்கிரன்.
சந்திரனுக்கு அறிவுரை சொன்னான் சுக்கிரன்

“தாரையை ஒருபோதும் விடாதே சந்திரா!
போரைச் சந்திக்க நேர்ந்தாலும் சரியே!

அசுரர்கள், ஆயுதங்கள், மந்திரங்கள் என
அத்தனையும் நான் தந்து உதவிடுவேன் .”

பிருஹஸ்பதி செய்வதறியாமல் – சிவ
பிரானிடம் அடைந்தான் சரணாகதி!

சங்கரன் பூண்டார் போர்க் கோலம் அன்று.
சங்கரன் சென்றார் சந்திரனுடன் பொருத!

சுக்கிரனின் செல்வாக்குத் தந்தது பலன்;
உக்கிரப் போருக்குத் திரண்டனர் அசுரர்.

தொடங்கியது போர் தேவ அசுரர் இடையே.
தொடர்ந்தது போர் தேவ அசுரர் இடையே .

பிரமன் பிரமித்தான் போரினைக் கண்டு!
‘குருபத்தினிக்காக இத்தகைய யுத்தமா?

தலையிட வேண்டும் நானே நேரில் சென்று
தலை குனிவை ஏற்படுத்தும் போரைத் தடுக்க’.

சென்றான் பிரம தேவன் சந்திரனை நாடி!
செப்பினான் பிரமன் அவனுக்கு அறிவுரை.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

“மதி என்று பெயர் பெற்றுள்ளாய் – எனினும்
மதி என்பதே இல்லையா உன்னிடம் கூறு!

மதிகெட்ட செயல்கள் புரிந்த உன்னை
மதிப்பார்களா உலகில் எவரும் கூறு !

குரு பத்தினியைத் திருப்பி அனுப்பிவிடு!
மறுத்தால் அழிவாய் விஷ்ணு கைகளால்!

சுக்கிரா! உன் மதிக்கு என்ன ஆயிற்று?
அக்கிரமச் செயலுக்கு நீயும் உடந்தையா?

மாற்றான் மனைவி தருவாள் அழிவினை
ஏற்றமும் இல்லை இழி செயல் இதனால்!

புகழ்ச்சி தரும் செயல்களை விடுத்து
இகழ்ச்சி தரும் செயல்கள் எதற்கு?

நிறுந்துங்கள் இப்போரை இப்போதே!
மறுத்தால் விளையும் சர்வ நாசம்!” என

பிரமன் மொழிந்ததும் மாறிவிட்டான்
பிரம்மையில் வீழ்ந்திருந்த சுக்கிரன்.

“சந்திரா! உதவ மாட்டேன் இனிமேல் உனக்கு
தந்தை வருந்துவதை விரும்பவில்லை நான்.

குரு மனைவியைத் திருப்பி அனுப்பி விடு
சிறுபிள்ளைத்தனமான போரை நிறுத்தி விடு!”

தாரை அப்போது பூரண கர்ப்பிணி – எனினும்
தாரையை ஏற்றார் பிருஹஸ்பதி மகிழ்வுடன்!

யுத்தம் நின்று விட்டது தேவாசுரர் இடையே.
புத்திரன் பிறந்தான் குருபத்தினி தாரைக்கு.

புத்திரன் பிறந்ததால் மகிழ்ந்தார் தேவகுரு.
“புத்திரன் என் மகன்!” என்றான் சந்திரன்.

“புத்திரன் உள்ளான் என்னைப் போலவே!”
யுத்தம் தொடங்கித் தொடர்ந்தது மீண்டும்!

விரைந்து சென்றான் பிரமன் போர்க்களம்
மறைந்த உண்மையைக் கேட்டு அறிந்தான்.

சந்திரன் தன் மகனின் தந்தை என்பதைச்
சந்தேகம் இன்றி உணர்த்தினாள் தாரை.

சந்திரன் செய்தான் ஜாதகாதி கர்மங்கள்;
சந்திரன் பெயரிட்டான் மகனை புதன் என.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

Have you wondered who had launched the now popular
Backless-Brigade-of-Bollywood fashion???
They are the colorful and well decked Lambaadis.
Their blouse is elaborately embroidered in the front.
There is no back piece. The blouse has only the front!
Two magical strings hold the blouse in position.
Of course their long veils cover these tempting/ inviting strings! :rolleyes:
They wear heavy jewels, bangles from wrist to the elbows.
Since they hardly bathe this hindrance will not matter much! :)

This reminds me of an army joke about a bloke.

The commander told every soldier in the line to lift his left foot to the front.

One brilliant soldier lifted his right foot instead of his left.

The commander who was even more brillint than that soldier shouted

"Who is the mad guy who has lifted both his legs?" :rofl:

I stand corrected. We can view the book but not read it!
The letters can't be zoomed in to make them appear bigger and readable.
So may be I should re consider my promise
about the new blog on The ancient saints of India.
