Think or sink!

Dear VR ji,

I don't know if you had seen this Vadivelu comedy scene where he is an auto driver and he gets a passenger who appears very traditional and full of Achaaram and the during the journey he realizes that the passenger is not what he thought he was?

Ok sometime back I had a patient a young man who was very very respectful.
Even to sit down in the patients chair he was asking me permission.

I was thinking "what a nice respectful young man...how many people ask doctors these days permission even to sit down"
So I was extra polite to him thinking what a polite young man he is.

But when I started asking him his ailment then his language started to change.

He was using words like "Bloody Hell,Bloody Shit,God damn it" to describe the pain he was having...then asked me "so Doc what the damn hell is my sickness"

Then I remembered this Vadivellu scene!LOL

Just as speech and dress do not correspond to each other
at times the dress and the style do not match the age.

I saw a slim lady with her hair plaited like a teenager.

A long strand of Kanakaambaram was hung
from the uchchi with hairpins.

She wore colorful clothes but walked with jittery steps.
I knew the reason when I saw her face.

She must have been 50+ or 60(-)
but was dressed like a 15 year old.

As women become heavier and bulkier,
sarees do not stay put the way they used to do.
Heavy saris appear heavier than ever and
broad saris seem to sink us in their sheer breadth.
Wonder how the mamis used to manage the 9 yards sarees???

I DO NOT write to kill time or to kill the others HERE.

I write because I WANT TO LEAVE BEHIND SOMETHING

more than MY FADED PHOTOGRAPHS WHEN MY TIME COMES.

WHAT WILL BE BETTER FOR PERMANENT PRESERVATION

THAN OUR PURANAS AND THEIR MESSAGES AND MORALS.

I have my own priorities and i will continue to stick to them.

Most people are happy with serving the products prepared by others.
NOT ME!
Every server does the same thing.
Even the inanimate server of the websites do the same thing.
What is our contribution in doing it more than locating it and copy pasting it-
often times trying to pass it on as one's own product!!!

IF the little Mam, Mom, mami or mummy in your household does this kind of work

after finishing the traditional Khaana, kapadaa, Jhaadoo and bharthan

with her own two hands, may be you will appreciate better

what we women folk do here in the forum.

எத்தைத் தின்றால் பித்தம் தீரும்?

இத்தைப் பார்க்க இங்கே வாரும்!

Note: இங்கே => G.D section.

Another enforced vacation for a day since the server was not available.

I am sure many of us realized how much we have got attached to the Forum

(though we may not accept it or realize it but for such breaks).

I am sure the multiple thread starter would have felt that one precious day was wasted.

Not a real problem since there is no ceiling on the number or rockets launched during Deepaavali

and the number of threads launched in G.D by the same person on the same day.

So make up for the lost time and stick to the schedule. :)

Exchange of ideas needs tolerance and patience.
Rigid objects which can not bend invariably break.
That is why a thin flimsy grass survives a storm
while a mighty towering oak falls down uprooted.
We watch everything but do not learn from nature.

What lies beyond perception...
can only be felt and not measured!

What lies beyond perception...
can only be realized but not recognized!

What lies beyond the sense of perception
may also lie beyond the logic and reasoning.

There are more things in the world than we can even imagine!

Go Dutch!

:der:

:tsk:

இப்போது ஸ்டைலாக Go Dutch என்கிறார்கள்.

One honest and genuine doubt!!!

Tamil Brahmins Forum: General Discussions
Topics unrelated to other forums. Please note many of the topics can be sensitive in nature.

In chit chat section also we have topics unrelated to anything else in the forum.

Why then is a thread packed off from G.D (the top most in the forum list)

to the Chit chat (almost at the bottom of the list)

IF there is no difference between these two sections or

IF Chit Chat were as good as or even better than G.D??????
