யுகங்கள் தோறும்!




யுகங்கள் தோறும் மாறும் உலகமும், அந்த
யுகத்தில் வாழும் பிறவிகள் அனைத்தும்;
யுகங்கள் தோறும் மாறும் நீதி நெறிகள்,
யுக்தியும், புத்தியும், பக்தியும் கூட!

சத்திய யுகமான முதல் யுகத்தில்,
சத்திய சந்தர்களும், தீயவர்களும்
மாறுபட்டு வாழ்ந்தனர் முற்றிலும்
வேறுபட்ட இரு நிலப் பரப்புகளில்!

நிந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் மட்டுமே
சந்திக்க வேண்டுமே அன்றி அவர்கள்
சராசரி வாழ்க்கையில் தேவை இல்லை
சந்திப்புகளோ அன்றிச் சல்லாபமோ!

இரண்டாம் யுகமான திரேதா யுகத்தில்
இருவரும் வாழ்ந்தனர் ஒரே பூமியில்,
இரு வேறு தேசங்களில், நாடுகளில்
இருப்பினும் ஒரே பூமிப் பரப்பின் மேல்!

இராமனும், இராவணனும் போலவே
இயங்கினர் இந்த யுகத்தில் மனிதர்;
நல்லோரும் தீயோரும் வாழ்ந்தனர்
நானிலத்தில் ஒன்றாய்க் கலந்தே!

மூன்றாம் யுகமான துவாபர யுகத்தில்
முன்னேற்றம் நன்கு காணப் பட்டது!
இருவகை மனிதரும் இங்கு பிறந்தனர்
ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் உறவினர்களாக!

ஒரே இல்லத்தில் வந்து பிறந்தாலும்,
ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் பரம வைரியாய்;
ஒருவரை ஒருவர் உளமார வெறுத்து,
ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நாசம் செய்பவராய்!

கலியுகம் என்ற நான்காம் யுகத்துக்கு,
“கிலியுகம்” என்றும் பெயர் இடலாமே!
தானே தனக்கு வைரியாக மனிதர்கள்,
காணப்படுவது இந்த யுகத்தில்தானே!

நன்மையையும், தீமையும் ஒரே உள்ளத்தில்
நன்கு கலந்து உறைகின்றன அன்றோ?
நாட்டையோ அன்றித் தான் இருக்கும்
வீட்டையோ விட்டுச் செல்ல வேண்டாம்!

இருக்கும் இடத்திலேயே பாரதப்போர்
இருக்கும் எப்போதும் நிகழ்ந்தபடியே;
நன்மை மேலோங்கி வெல்லுமா அன்றி
நன்மை தீமையிடம் அடி பணிந்திடுமா?

நன்மையையும் தீமையும் பிறர் தர வாரா!
நம்முள் இருக்கும் தீமையை வென்றால்,
நன்மை நம்மை நாடி வரும்; தீமை வென்றால்
துன்பம் நம்மைத் தேடித் தேடி ஓடி வரும்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,

The boy found for the daughter of a terribly scrutinizing man seemed incredible!

He earned a unbelievable salary and owned umpteen cars and bungalows.

The whole city was wonderstuck at the grand scale wedding befitting the status of the lucky groom.

The daughter cum bride found out a terrible secret about her husband very soon.

He was a born lier - an anti Harischandra!!! :lie:

When one decides to tell lies SKY will become the limit.

After all words do not cost anything in money.

BUT IT WILL COST THE CHRONIC LIERS IN ANOTHER WAY...

THE CREDIBILITY OF THE PERSONS FEELING SO FREE WITH TELLING LIES!!!

MORAL:

Give the lier a rope long enough and he himself / she herself will prepare a noose!
 
A BLAST FROM THE PAST???

1. The purple colored letters!!!

2. The green colored letters!!!

Whenever life becomes a steady stream someone/ something
will appear in the scene to disturb the prevailing serenity.

May be it is to wake up the sleeping persons and help them stay alert!

I have always believed that one who teaches English must be familiar with the fineries of the language being taught!

May be not!!!
 
Some people CAN touch their nose- only around their head and not directly. :der:

Woe to them who have to associate with such weirdos in day to day dealings.

They will involve half a dozen people instead of just the minimum required namely one.

Why so many unnecessary links in a simple chain of events?

After all a chain is ONLY as strong as its weakest link! Right???

Is it to make sure that everybody in their pay roll - without actually getting paid?

Is it to broadcast their benevolent actions to the whole world?

Is it just to bug and bother everyone who is willing to help?

I may never be able to figure it out!
 
The long Christmas vacation is over.

The schools and colleges have reopened today.

Going back to school after a long vacation creates mixed emotions...

the joy of meeting friends after a long gap mixed with

the sorrow of losing the freedom to sleep till 11 A.M !!!

So Varun was making some strange sounds in another room.

It appeared to be due to his crying.

It was closely followed by his giggling.

I was not sure what was happening and asked him,

"Kanna! are you crying or laughing?"

His reply was an eyeopener to me.

He said, "I was crying first but now I am laughing"

I had always imagined that ONLY Shivaji and Manorama (fondly called as PeNpillai Shivaji)

could perform this rare feat of laughing and crying at the same time.

Apparently many more around us have developed this rare talent!
 
சும்மா இருந்த சங்கை ஊதிக் கெடுப்பது = Disturbing a hoenet's nest :bolt:

கிணறு வெட்ட பூதம் கிளம்புவது = facing unforseen consequences :wacko:

இனம் இனத்தோடு சேருவது = birds of a feather flocking together :flock:

உலகினை வெறுத்து, உண்மையைத் தேடி;
உள்ளத்தை அடக்கி, உன்னித் தவம் செய்த;
ஒரு முனி மடியில், விழுந்தது சிறு எலி;
பருந்திடமிருந்து, திமிறிப் பிழைத்தது.

தன் தவ வலிமையால் அச்சிறு எலியை,
தவழும் குழந்தையாய் மாற்றினான் முனிவன்.
தவத்தையும் மறந்து, குழவியைப் பேணி,
தாயும், தந்தையுமாய், மாறினான் முனிவன்.

காலம் பறந்தது, நாட்கள் உருண்டன;
கண் கவர் கன்னியாய் வளர்ந்து நின்றாள்.
காலம் தாழ்த்தாமல் கடி மணம் முடிக்க,
எண்ணினான் முனிவன், தண் அருளோடு.

அருமை, பெருமையாய் வளர்த்த மகளை,
அன்புடன் பேணும், கணவனைத் தேடினான்.
சிறுமியும் உரைத்தாள், தன் சீரிய கணவன்,
சிறந்தவனாகத் திகழ வேண்டும் என.

ஒளியுடன் வெப்பமும், உமிழ்ந்துயிர் காக்கும்,
ஒளிக் கதிரவனை அழைத்தான் முனிவன்.
“உலகினில் சிறந்தவன் நீயே அதனால்,
வலக்கரம் பிடிப்பாய் என் சிறு மகளின்”.

“ஒளியும் வெப்பமும் உமிழ்ந்த போதிலும்,
ஒளி குன்றிடுவேன் ஓர் கார் மேகத்தால்.
என்னைக் காட்டிலும் சிறந்தவன் மேகமே,
சின்னப் பெண்ணை அவனுக்கு அளியும்.”

சொன்ன கதிரவன் சென்றபின் முனைந்து,
மன்னுயிர் காக்க மா மழை பொழியும்,
மண்டிய மேகத்தை அழைத்தான் முனிவன்.
வேண்டியபடி மணம் புரியச் சொன்னான்.


“ஊதும் காற்றால் உருக்குலைவேன் நான்.
ஊரார் அறிவார், காற்றே வலியவன்.
உங்கள் மகளை அவனுக்கே அளியும்”.
தங்காமல் சென்றான் காரிருள் மேகம்.

ஓடும் காற்றை அழைத்தான் முனிவன்,
தேடும் கணவன் அவனே என்றான்.
“ஓடும் என்னையும் வாடச்செய்யும்,
ஒருவன் உள்ளான்; அவன் இந்த மலையே!

என்னைக் காட்டிலும் வலியவன் மலையே,
சின்னப் பெண்ணை அவனுக்கு அளியும்.”
மலையிடம் சென்றான் மாதவ முனிவன்,
நிலைமையைச் சொல்லி, பதில் எதிர்பார்த்தான்,

“வலியவன் நான் என்பது உண்மையே! ஆயினும்,
எலியிடம் தோற்றுப் போவதைக் காண்பீர்.
சிறிய உருவம், ஆயினும் வலிய முயற்சியால்,
பெரிய என்னையும் துளைத்திடுவான் எலி.”

மலைத்து நின்றான் முனிவன், ஆனால்
மகிழ்ந்து நின்றாள் முனிவரின் மகள்.
தனக்கு மிகவும் இசைந்த கணவன் அந்த
தன்னிகரில்லா எலியே தான் என்றாள்.

இனத்தோடு தான் இனம் சேரும் அன்றோ!
அனைத்தும் அறிந்தவன், இதை அறியவில்லை.
கனத்த மனத்தோடு, வருந்திய போதிலும்;
மனத்துள் வாழ்த்தி, மணம் செய்வித்தான்.

கதிரவனையும், கார் மேகத்தையும் விட,
காற்றையும், கனத்த கல் மலையையும் விட,
சிற்றெலி தான் சிறந்தவன் என்று நம்மால்
சிரிக்காமல் சொல்ல முடியுமா பாரும்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

அரிதான 'வலைத் தளம்' என இதற்கு!

பேரிளம் பெண் ஒருவர் சில காலம்
பேரழகியாக வலம் வந்தார் இங்கே.

நல்ல மாடாகவோ, மனிதனாகவோ இல்லாமல்
பொல்லாத ஜந்துவாக இருந்தால் அதற்குப்

போதுமோ ஒரே ஒரு சூடு என்று கூறுவீர்?
போகுமோ அதன் அறியாமை எனக் கூறுவீர்!
 
Early bird gets the worm.
Early comer gets to copy paste the stories first.
So the bird coming late must make sure that
the early bird has NOT already posted
what the late comer wants to post in the same forum!
 
கிணறு வெட்ட பூதம் கிளம்புவது

can be interpreted in two different ways.

1. The பூதம் emerged and went out to dig a new well.

2. The பூதம் emerged when the new well was being dug!!

So whether it emerged TO dig a well or whether it

emerged from a well being dug depends on the context! :decision:
 
So the first day of the school after the Christmas break was fun.
The little boy had made soft puppet moose with orange nose and kinky green horns
using a white stocking and two lively eyes in addition to it. :)
Like a ventriloquist he speaks to the others through the moose ! :)

raking their brain to produce something worthwhile...

when everything is cooked and kept ready on the table ...

how much time does an unscrupulous person need to serve it to others

as if they are his/ her very own products

(without even giving the credit to the fool who originally wrote it)

Do they read the valuble posts being posted in such a hurry

as if there is NO TOMORROW and never any future at least

after posting them - even of not before posting them??? :noidea:

It does NOT matter really any more!!!!

God does not want anything from us other than 'ananya bhakthi.'

He wants our mind, our memory, our thoughts, our words and our actions.

He can look directly at our mind and not get get carried away

by empty words uttered by us - which will never reach him anyway.

As Shakespeare says," Words without thoughts will never to heaven go!

Mature things mellow down and will not be accompanied by light and sound effects! :horn:

கண்ணா கண்ணா என்று கதறுபவர்கள்
காட்சி தருவதில்லை பக்த மீராவாக!

ஆரவாரத்தை விரும்பாதவன் இறைவன்.
அமைதியான, இடையறாத பக்தி தேவை!

ஆண்டவனை எண்ணி அழுபவர்கள் - அதைக்
கண்டவர்கள் முன்பு நின்று செய்ய மாட்டார்கள்!

அழுவதும், தொழுவதும், விழுவதும், விம்முவதும்,
அரங்கேறும் யாரும் இல்லாத ஒரு தனி இடத்தில்!

காட்சி பொருட்களில் கண்கவர் கவற்சி இருக்கும்.
காட்சிப் பொருளில் கனம், ஆழம், உண்மை இரா!

அனுதாப அலை அடிக்கும் பொழுது தாங்கி நிற்கும்.
அதுவே என்றென்றும் தாங்கி நிற்கும் என்பது மடமை.

நாமத்தை முன்னிருத்திப் போணி செய்பவர்கள்
ஞானத்தை முன்னிறுத்துபவர் முன்பு தேய்வார்கள்.

Meaning in simple English for the sake of those who can't read Tamil alphabets!

(1). Sing the names of Krishna, Govinda and Gopala!
Protect your mind from the vicious poisons of this material world.

(2). Even when your dear life is threatened never forget the name of our lord.
Let the tears springing out of your love and devotion to God flow freely.

(3). People say that God does not come when He is called!
May be it is because you are not calling Him as sincerely as Droupathi had called Him!

(4). People say that God does not eat what He is being offered by them.
May be it is because you are feeding him as affectionately Sabari had fed him.

(5). Do your prescribed duties and daily chores without fail.
At the same time remember to keep chanting the name of our lord continuously.
Keep increasing the size of you kazaana where the chanted names of Lord are getting stored!

 
Haste makes waste?

He made his sudden movement,
He did not want to lose a moment;

He might draw an unkind comment;
But that thing was in his element!

Was his venture an experiment?
Will it lead to an argument?

May be it will end in an agreement;
Did he need, as proof, a statement?

Did she deserve his treatment?
It was an astronomical payment!

He did not realize it in his excitement,

Will it result in their engagement?
