The head is the most important part of the body.
We must protect it at all costs and all times from all possible injuries.
Internal Bleeding is more dangerous than external bleeding, which is visible.



Various helmets for numerous activities, with different head-protection goals. A martial-arts helmet protects from kicks and punches to the face. A hard hat protects from objects dropped on it. Bicycle, ski, and motorcycle helmets protect the head from impacts on hard surfaces.

In civilian life, helmets are used for recreational activities and sports (e.g. jockeys in horse racing, American football, ice hockey, cricket, baseball, camogie, hurling and rock climbing); dangerous work activities (e.g. construction, mining, riot police, fighter pilots); and transportation (e.g. motorcycle helmets and bicycle helmets). Since the 1990s, most helmets are made from resin or plastic, which may be reinforced with fibers such as aramids.

Beauty with a Beard!

I met a distant relative after a very long time. In the meantime, she has started growing a white beard with bristles - resembling the gramophone needles of the past.

May be she is too busy caring for the elders in the house! May be she never found time to stare at herself in a mirror! But surely she must have FELT the stub (shrub?) while applyig soap while bathing!

Such spurious growth of hair mars the beauty of many women of all ages. Some have sideburns as thick as those of a man who grows them with a great devotion!

Some women have mustaches like the comedians in the old movies, near the ends of the upper lip.
Some have hair all over the face like one of our hairy ancestors.

These hairs must be nipped at the bud. Once they become stronger and longer, it becomes more difficult and painful to get rid of them!

I do not believe in shaving off these spurious hair. Shaving promotes the growth of hair. Plucking away with the roots discourages the growth of fresh hair.

Good fortune, good sleep, good food and good conjugal bliss must be disturbed now and then.
Otherwise man takes them for granted and never realizes how lucky he is to have all these.

In summer the air condition makes those hot days bearable.
In winter the room heater makes the cold nights bearable.

On a bright and sunny day an umbrella makes the burning heat bearable.
Shoes / Sandals make walking of hot roads bearable.

Without them we will realize how hard life can become for us !
Without them we will realize how hard life is for those less fortunate than us.

A power struggle in disguise?

People have their own preference when it comes to the way food is served on the plate.
Personally I do wish that the items are served without overlapping and getting mixed in the plate.

I must have the freedom to mix whatever I want to mix and whenever I want to mix. This is not a great deal really BUT it is symbol of my personal freedom and choice.

I fail to understand why some parents serve every item one on top of one another in a small plate and make the children eat. The kids shed tears while eating, since they hate the way the food is served but could do nothing about it.

They feel helpless, physically overpowered, meticulously manipulated and screwed around ever so subtly, everyday, during every meal.

Personal choice, personal freedom and personal space are very important to develop our self esteem and self confidence. Power struggle - if it is one - can keep those helpless young people under your control - ONLY as long as they remain under your control.

Once they break loose and become free, it will be a total liberation and freedom for ever.

Dear Sis,

I beg to differ! Those who forward
1. Do not read, listen or check the authenticity of the messages they receive.
2. They don't remember what they have forwarded and after receiving the same message they sent in the morning, they forward again, when it comes in their inbox in the evening!
3. Not everyone listens to the audios or views the videos received!

So, WhatsApp is NOT useful for propogating anything worth learning!

Dear Sister,
I am speaking from my own experience of course! I keep my airtight earplugs handy -
since I will never know when a thunderous song / slOkam/ speech will start blaring.

How many times I must have jumped out of my skin? As many times as I got shocked!
We musicians need to protect our sensitive ears and as writers our eyes as well. :)

But Kali yugam does not believe in granting grace periods.
Everything is precise, perfect, immediate and imminent.

It is great fun to hear the foreigners talk of Instant Karma. I think there is no better word to describe the swiftness with which the Reaction follows the Action!

There is a saying "Never compromise on the comfort of your shoes and your bed!" :)
Whenever we are not one of these, we are on the other one ! Right?

I fail to understand the women (even older ones) preferring to wear high heels and stilettos.
The reasons given are...
1. It adds to your height instantly
2. It adds a swing to your waist and your gait.
3. It gives an attractive curve to the backside.
4. It is fashionable and welcomes courting from men!

The women know all discomforts caused by these shoes and still continue to wear them.
I was amused to see a women wearing a stiletto stealing a ride on a shopping cart.
NOW all the reasons given above by the ladies for wearing high heels do not hold water! :)

Types of high heels worn by women.​

  • Stacked heel – usually layers of leather 5 mm thick stacked together and trimmed to match the shape of the heel.[1] These are commonly known as block heels.
  • Continental heel – 7.5 mm, with the upper part of the chest of the heel spreading towards the center of the shoe.[1]

செல்(லும்) + வ(ரு)ம் என்பது செல்வம் என்றானதோ?

ஒருவரிடம் இருந்து பிரிந்து சென்றால் தான்
வேறொருவரிடம் வந்து சேரமுடியும் செல்வம்.

பண மூட்டையை இறுக்கக் கட்டிவிட்டு அதன் மேல்
பங்காக அமர்ந்திருந்தால் அந்தச் செல்வம் வீண்.

What will be ours, WILL be yours - whether you want to have it or not.
What will not be yours, WILL NOT be yours - whether you wish for it or not.

There is no peace of mind - once we start comparing ourselves with the others,
The outcome will never be good - if you keep commenting on your observations!
There is no welcome to a person who keeps complaining about everything to everyone.
