Pt. Bhimsen Joshi-Tirtha Vitthal Kshetra Vitthal (Raag Ahir Bhairav) - YouTube

Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi (1922-2011 ) was the indian vocalist of the Kirana Gharana (school), he was renowned for the khayal form of singing which is a form of Hindustani Classical singing. He was a diciple of Sawai Gandharva. Bhimsenji's music has been hailed by both the critics and the masses. His performances have been marked by spontaneity, accurate notes, dazzlingly-paced taans which make use of his exceptional voice training, and a mastery over rhythm. He was ever the wanderer, engendering brilliant phrases and taans more intuitively than through deliberation. Never the one to be controlled by the rigours of theory, he sailed high, sometimes floundering, nevertheless reaching out to the stars. Each Year Panditji conducted the "Sawai Gandharva Music Festival" in Pune in memory of his guru. Panditji passed away in Pune, India. He was 89.

This Famous Bhajan is written by Sant Namdeo, Music is by Ram Phatak based on the Raag-Ahir Bhairav.Ahir Bhairav is a Hindustani classical raga. It is a mixture of Bhairav and the ancient but now rare raga Ahiri or Abhiri and is sung in the second Prahar of the morning (6-9).

Just Close your Eyes and listen to the voice of the Legend of Hindustani Classical Music. This Composition has the power to teleport you to Pandharpur. Simply Divine!!

I myself am the beggar (Slave) at his door,
What gift can i give to my lord - Master (Prophet Muhammad SalAllaho Alaihi Wasalam).

Now even there is nothing left in my Eyes,
Otherwise i would have presented them in his feet.

My tears are so precious,
Because they are associated with his memories.

There destiny is Soil of Madina,
How can i shed these pearls any where else.

Do not look at my blindness,
Come close to me those who can see.

I can show Madina from here,
One just needs to know how to see...
