Regarding Akshaya Trithiyai, you know people are now flush with money. There was no money before. Like valentine's day, Newspapers, TV and the sellers hype this and the interested are lured into sharing wealth. If you look at native Keralite girls wearing sheets and chains of gold, Lord Balaji and Sri Padmanabha Swamy should put their head down. I understand this gold fever has caught up with Chinese,too. They are the highest buyers now.
