Virtual Reality is one of the trending topics in technology, which is because it is poised to become the next big thing. It has the potential to revolutionize and change everything we do, for the better, and the change it will bring to industries will be on a scale comparable to the changes the Internet brought in our lives.

Oculus is the company that reinvigorated the interest in Virtual Reality through a Crowdfunding Campaign, and from then things have only been good for Virtual Reality, with Oculus itself being bought for 2 billion dollars and various companies announcing Virtual Reality Headsets, including Sony with its Project Morpheus.

Now Valve is the maker of Steam, a popular Game Database Management Software, and it is planning to use this clout to invade the Living Room with its Steam Machines and a few days ago it announced that it is interested to enter the Virtual Reality Market too, providing it another channel to reach out to users.

We don’t know anything about the hardware, which will probably be announced soon at the GDC (Game Developer’s Conference).

Now SteamDB has dug up a Picture that is supposedly Valve’s VR Headset. It isn’t a full blown picture and is just an outline, but even then it looks interesting. It definitely won’t be wireless, and has a structure similar to the Oculus Rift, though we have to wait for hands-ons for actually knowing how comfortable it is.

What do you think? Will Valve’s clout in Steam help them carve a corner for themselves in the Virtual Reality Market?
