Why do we go through bad phase which make them look more terrible

Status
Not open for further replies.
Dear Sir,

I have read that part and I find no logic in that.
I do not see any reason why God has to divert attention of Asuras.

It is only men that will deceive others by misguiding them.

God is NOT Anti Asura.God is God for everyone and every being.

God comes to uplift everyone.

BTW I found the part where the priest said that Go Dhanam will make the deceased get a free bull ride that too in 2 days time does not make sense.

That way if I donate a BMW to the priest will the deceased get a BMW?

The priest went on to even ask me for a piece of land later if I wanted to give him...saying that the deceased would be blessed with a huge place to stay..I was wondering what else the priest wanted?(I off course did not give him land cos I am not that rich)

These so called Hindus, can only understand the Abrahamic limited God. They think evil is outside of God.
There is nothing outside of Brahman. Brahman does not translate to God.

Dear KUMAARA Sir
My advice is a little bit lengthy, please read it patiently
You are the creator of your own problem

Our thoughts are responsible for all our situations in past, present and future lives. Actions come from thoughts. God does not draw our destiny, it is our thoughts that creates or manifests our destiny.
Now, the million dollar question is “how can thoughts become things”. Yes, they sure can. They can, if we understand that though we are a body with a soul embedded with in, we are basically an energy field constantly emitting energy and tuning into the universal frequency into the channel that best suites our thoughts. This is how every experience into our life comes to us. We radiate thoughts every minute and the thoughts that we give most attention to manifests into our lives.

A famous English writer Charles Haanel once said, “The predominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet, and the law is that like attracts like, consequently, the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to its nature.”
When we are suffering, the sufferings seems to be never ending, this is because we are focusing on the suffering, instead of the greenery at the end of the suffering. This is why the happier we are the merrier we get and when we are sad or depressed more things comes our way and destroys our peace.

We attract into our lives whatever we focus on. Thoughts become things when we use our full potential and send out positive energy through our true belief and the law of nature manifests our universe the way we want.

Life is Unfair

Now the next question that is running through your mind is, “well, if the cause and effect theory is true, I never wished for all the miseries in my life, how those appeared“. Once again the answer is “Your own thoughts caused it to appear into your life. Wondering how? Remember, “Your wish is my command”, this gene is so obedient that he grants what ever you are thinking the most. If you spend most of your time thinking about the miseries, you are going to see more miseries. If you are lamenting about your wealth or health, that is what you are going to get. “YOU BECOME WHAT YOU FOCUS ON THE MOST”. You only experience that you wish for or worry about the most.

Have you ever questioned as to why such bad situations appear in your life.
All these situations happen as you are constantly thinking about them. You can control the situation by not focusing on the issues and visualizing the nicer results.

Stop wondering at people who always seems to be happy and have a wonderful job and family. You might be a Harvard pass out, yet be never known and might wonder how a school drop out is a business magnet. Knowingly or unknowingly they have stayed positive and have focused on the happier life. Things happened because of their true wish (thought) and undoubted belief in themselves or in GOD. You and I could have this blessing if we focus and create our reality through our thoughts.

Essence of Positive Thinking

You could try simple exercises to see if this law works. Visualize or wish for a nice compliment, or a small gift or meeting someone that will make a difference. We have all had good and bad days. Paying a little more attention to our days we see that some days we get up with a negative thought and feel the day is going to be a mess, and yes sure, the whole day goes wrong.
Have you ever wondered how you predicted your day? This is the law of attraction working its way. You sent out a negative thought and you get more negative experiences. Now, try this out. Get up and send out a strong thought that the day is going to be happy and peaceful and believe in it, and you will be amazed how productive the day would be.
We have all had miracles happen in our lives. Remember about those, and you will realize that those experiences came your way since you stayed focused and truly wished for that outcome.
Stop focusing on what you do not want to experience and instead focus on what you expect to see. Visualize how you want your experiences to be. Visualize the salary you wish, visualize the type of people you want to meet, visualize your dream house and believe that it is going to happen and be surprised for many pleasant gifts from the universe. There will no longer be hectic days at work; kids will excel in what they truly wish for.
Parents and in-laws will appreciate you, your boss will appreciate you, and you will become the best husband, and what ever you want. You will only meet the type of people you want to meet and draw in experiences into your life that you wish. Stay positive and let the universe manifest the best out there for you.
The best way to receive more of anything is sending in heartfelt gratitude and supplementing it with actions that show abundance. You wish evil for others because you think you lack something they have, so there you go, you have focused on lack and you are going to manifest more of it.
This is the reason our ancestors and all religions in the world teach us to see good, hear good and be good.

Now, you will not be reading this article if you had not wished for it. Here I mean the content of my writing and not me the presenter of the content. I am merely an instrument manifested through your thoughts.

There are no accidents and chances. Everything happens for a reason and it happens because you focused on it.
I would like to leave you here with one last thought, we are an energy powerhouse and leading a life of self-discipline and self-mastery will allow us to stay positive and gain the full potential of the universe.

Mr. Janakiraman post#54,
Excellent post.

There are no accidents and chances. Everything happens for a reason and it happens because you focused on it.
I would like to leave you here with one last thought, we are an energy powerhouse and leading a life of self-discipline and self-mastery will allow us to stay positive and gain the full potential of the universe.

Sir, are you asking us to take responsibility for our action? Why can I not blame it on some devem, asura, horoscope or some other factor, and do pariharam and be done with. (sarcasm).

you can control your mind only and not other one, whatever dhanam you do will bring benefit to the deceased soul is the point.

Yes Sir, That's the point.

When pitru karyams are performed within 10 days, from the death of a person, Rishaba Pooja is conducted in fact and a Rishabam is asked in donation. Since, that would be too expensive, just Rishaba pooja is done and some money is given to the priest as Dhakshina, symbolically to mean Rishaba Danam.

Rishabam = Bull

Gow pooja has its own great significance. Gow pooja and Gow dhanam can be done for both Living person and dead person. As much as a living person finds himself/herself in Dark during his/her life time and undergoes mental agony, distress, uneassyness etc, a departed Soul too suffers in the dark while going through the door way to reach the other world.

When Gow pooja and Gow dhanam (if possible) is done, one's mental caliber, physical strength and sathvik qualities multifolds. As well brings in wealth and prosperitiy, peace and happiness. Gow pooja helps in refining onself. There are many ways to worship a Cow as simply as possible. Many offer fodder to cows and worship them in Gow Shalas on regular basis to mitigate evil influences and to obtain positive energies.

Gow is Kamadhenu. The energy bestows immense spiritual energies.

When a Gow pooja is done for the departed soul, all the possible positive energies are indirectly supplied to the Soul. The soul is believed to get energised with positivity and goes through the transitional phase without much pains.

prasadji,

in therapy they use this technique, they allow the patient to talk , talk and will tell them it is not your mistake, if i were in your shoes even i would have done that etc... they will convince the person and boost his self-confidence.

if a person is depressed and you tell him that this is the result of your own action , he will feel even more depressed, so an understanding society like us will tell the person it is not your fault , griham seriillai etc... just to bring him out of depression. this is therapy, please dont mock for the sake of mocking.

Prayers and pariharams are done not to remain irresponsible.

Prayers and pariharams are done not to have the liberty to do anything and still remain protected.

Prayers and pariharams really works and makes true sense when we mere humans unintetionally or without our own knowledge or with our ignorance do something wrong by mistake.

Prayers and pariharams are done to get the positive energies surrounding us and be into good thoughts and deeds. To help ourself being more responsible and sensible.

A person who is truely remorseful and performs spiritual practices in devotion and who could be determined to work hard towards morality and chastity, descipline and truthfulness only that person can value Spirituality and Pariharams.

Horoscopes are only indicators of possible positive and negative influences on a soul/human and human's possible thoughts and actions in due course of time. Astrologers read them and suggest certain prayers and pariharms to help a person to be relieved from possible negativity.

Neither the Horoscope nor the Astrologers are boon to Mankind to relieve them from all their responsibilities and live in their own fantasy.

Neither the Horoscope nor the Astrologers are tools to achieve what one wants against one's destiny.

Sir,
You do not need to answer my post, it is not a requirement.
When you keep giving outlandish excuses for personal failures, and not take corrective action, no amount of tharapy is going to solve the problem.

If a child is not doing good in school,
The posible reasons are:
The child has some physical or emotional problems,
Some learning disability,

You do not have to jump to the conclusion that your kula devem is angry at you, so you have to do some puja, paraiharm etc.
Look at the threads, is there any rational explanation given. No body has excelled without personal commitment.
Sir, from your writing it seems that you always ascribe external agency for personal failures. You recommend the blame game, I think taking personal responsibility for your situation is warranted. Things happen for a cause.

Mr. Janakiraman post#54, said it the best.

prasadji

romba sooda aitingala? cool down.

the point i wish to make is, you can make an emotionally stable person understand that he is responsible for his action , that's why we say " theethum nandrum pirar thara vara"

but how will you handle a psychologically sick and depressed person, try telling him this fact, he will get him even more depressed.

I didnt support external blame game please be assured of that.

BTW I liked the post of Mr Janakiraman too and clicked LIKE button.

Thank you Acharya, it is true the Karma of Poorva Janma palan but i think from the Current Scenario that is Kalug it is Current Janma Palan in other words it is fastest verdict of Jugment as even Devtas dont want to wait and give verdict it is the fastest court of judgement, for example what we see in the current poltical scenario.

I have heard the story, read the story it is one's own faith and this faith we should never leave whatever the circumstances it is a testing period of person to person that God sees how much patience the person has got faith in God. It is is very easy to lose temper and patience but getting back is very very difficult.

"

Sri. Sravana, Greetings.

It is very much possible not to be attached to the fruits of our actions. In fact it is more easier to stay that way than expecting and counting the fruits.

I don't care about my 'karmas'. All I know is, if I did something wrong, one day it will come and bite my backside. Never failed so far in my life; so, I am quite convinced, it would be only matter of time before any lack of responsibility to bite my backside. Any of my good deed had not cancelled such backside biting events either. They are not connected to each other.

In my case I have not tried 'preventing my mind' from getting attached to the fruits; I just don't pay too much attention. That's all. Somehow, I started living one day at a time. Just one day.. that's all. So, I never planned too far ahead. I know, most members would say that is not a wise way of living.... well, that's what I did. But never failed to work hard, always made sure the expenses were much less than the household income... now I do my job for the sake of doing that job. But still, always I feel I could do better.

Cheers!

Dear Shri Raghy,

There are very few people who are not concerned about the fruits of actions. If you are not, you are a rare person. In my opinion if you do your duty not concerned about the fruits of actions, you even do not have to plan very elaborately. It is indeed a wise way of living if you can do away with planning. Plans can fail you and make you unhappy. But righteous living won't.

Shri Sravna

Sorry this is not addressed to me. But I cannot resist.

I think most of the time in our life we don’t even think about fruits of our action. Saying that, at times we do action to get some reaction. It also changes as we grow. For example at younger age we exchange lollies with our friends for sake of friendship/toy etc. etc. As we age the scenario changes.

In my opinion every human has a plan for his/her life. Achievements/happiness depends on the person’s maturity, knowledge, life experience and his/her mind set. IMO everything is an experience. There no bad or good experience. We learn all the time. Yes I agree whole heartedly righteous living won’t make you unhappy.

Kind Regards

By fruits of actions, I mean we are so much obsessed with results. There are very few like Shri.Raghy who are not motivated by results. We want to study well because we are aiming for a good job, we work hard because we are looking for promotions etc. We are so much driven by results. That needs to come down.

Nallu perrukku nallathunna ethuvume thappillai.... these are Vishnu Maya to protect the world with our meagre intelligence we cannot pass judgements.

Though Ashura and Devas are his children why Lord preferred to give Amirtha to DEVAS only? When Devas rule there is order and there is a scope for 4 purushartas to find fulfillment but when Ashuras rule, they benefit few in Artha and Kama BUT majority suffer so Lord should balance the power . ...

It is too simple to think that Lord is here to protect all , all are protected infact the ATMA is ever present and needs no protection what needed is a way for buddhi to develop and appreciate this fact.

For this LORD will have to bring suffering and happiness make them think and develop buddhi. that's why the symbolic churning of ocean with Devas and Ashuras holding the power in cycle.
the amirta is the buddhi finally recognizing the true nature of SELF ....(good hunch?)

Dear Sir,

God has no preferences at all.

Sometimes we should not take every story in our Puranas literally.

Devas and Asuras just symbolically represent our senses.
When our senses tilt towards purity we are Devas and when it tilts towards impurity we are Asuras.

Good and bad are qualities that are present in each and everyone of us.

Steady the mind like a mountain(Achala) and churn the sea of desire in us with the ropes of love/sacrifice till impurity(Hala Hala) is expelled and the ambrosia(Amrit) of purity emerges.

The Lord will support the steady mountain of our mind to lead us to immortality.

The Tortoise(Kurma) symbolizes the ability to withdraw its limbs into its shell..denoting withdrawal from sense gratification.

So technically..it is not that God favored the Devas and gave them Amrit first.

Amrit is for everyone..the story showed that the Devas surrendered to Lord Vishnu to decide what is the best for them but the Asuras were fighting and later became enchanted by Mohini...it only goes to show that when our senses are under control and when we totally surrender to the Divine Will..Nectar of Immortality is conferred upon us but if we still have turbulent senses tainted with greed and lust..the Nectar of Immortality is not within our reach.

This is how I look at the Kurma Avatar episode.

Dear Sri. Sravana, Greetings.

( My wife agrees with you when you said
Think of it. You cannot consciously prevent the mind from being attached to the fruits of the actions. But what you can do is do your duty and let the effects get rid of your karma which helps in freeing your mind.
She did not agree with my message in post #44. She said I was not clear to the forum. I tried explaining to her, but didn't get through. So, I thought I was not very clear to the forum after all. This morning when I came back from work, she started from where she left last night. I remember explaining her before falling asleep and her asking me to write you explaining my message in post #44. So, here is my explanation).

I am not a rare person. I am just one amoung the millions around you. Only I have realised there is no point in expecting any fruits for our actions. There was a time I considered life as a simple mathematical formula. If I did this and that good deed, I thought, I expected, I anticipated this and that good effects to follow... I was a complete nincompoop for many years like that. I have been cheated, I have been taken for a sucker, I lost so much time, money and efforts in Sipcot, Ranipet. I thought I was invincible. I thought I was Mr. perfect. I had been taken for a ride by all and sundry for couple of years. All these persons were strangers.. so decided to become a lone wolf from then on. ( but not true. From my past, there are few good persons who do come across even now who remember me fondly).

So, I turned my trust to my near and dear relatives. Similar good deeds, similar formula, similar expectations... exactly same results as of 2012! To put it in a nut shell, I am very fortunate to come across few great persons who showed me not to expect anything at any time. I have been very fortunate.

We all are the same. We don't really expect anything big. Most of us here are not greedy at all. We know our means, our limits and live within our means. Only few persons like me realise not to expect fruits for our actions is not a big deal. So, I am just vocal about it. Others are doing it, but not vocal about it. That is the only difference.

Our mind gets conditioned as it goes through more and more disappointments in life. I always consider my life is governed by Murphy's Law. ( For the members who may not know - Murphy's law states that in life what ever can go wrong will go wrong). That's how I live. I may not plan for tomorrow.. but I think big... just huge! My wife asked me " How could you tell the forum with a straight face you just live for one day when you are planning to build a South Indian village type house right on a river front here in Brisbane?".. Truth is, I am not really attached to anything like that. Just get it started and watch it grow.. that's all. For example, in our front yard I planted Neem plants about 15 plus years ago... When I planted them my wife was very doubtful about it's survival.. but we just planted that and watered it regularly for the first few years... now two large canopies are in the front yard... all the persons know about it comes around to collect neem leaves...

Usually if we plan we restrict ourselves. Life is very sweet. Just go ahead without any planning. For example, we all like our children to get good higher education... if we desired our son/daughter to follow one particular profession, we may get disappointed.. but just let them ride the waves with our help, they will do very well. We will not be disappointed.

Sir, to put this message in a nut shell, I am not a rare person. I am just one amoung the millions of very simple minded persons. Most if not all the members in the forum are in the right path for realisation; only they don't realise. I know life is not very complicated; so, I am readily vocal about it. Others think life is slightly complicated; so, they are very cautious. That is the difference.

So, kindly don't praise a very simple minded person like me.

Cheers!

Dear KUMARAA Sir
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling... It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.... Turning to her daughter, she asked, ' Tell me what you see.'

'Carrots, eggs, and coffee,' she replied..

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, 'What does it mean, mother?'

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

'Which are you?' she asked her daughter. 'When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Think about this lesson

Be a Coffee bean and change your sorrow.
Have a nice Day/Advance Deepavali Greetings to you and your family

Mr.Janakiraman Sir,
I don't agree to your post. As a person born in Brahmin culture we have to follow the rituals which has been followed by our Ancestral, this is the Siksha given by our Parents which is above to all the property and money they left for us. What is money and poperty, it comes and go but a good religious Siksha is above to all which we pass to our Children this is the life cycle. Regarding Pariharam, Kulu Devam it is being followed in a family through years which one does not change as and as and when he thinks, even though he may like to pray do rituals to his ista devta, but he has to follow the family tradition also in one side. I have seen in Kerala Devi Temple (where our Devi Temple is there) only that family do pooja in that temple as it is there Kula Devi, wheras Kula Devam temple all people visit and do pooja of any type, but in our devi temple only what our tradition follows we do pooja of that. Even the prasadam particullarly the tilak which is given only on specific pooja which we put on our forehead, immediately our mind and body become very calm and the scent of that last long more than a what we purchase on a high price from Market. The tilak can be given to other brahmin person also but he don't feel that effect and he feels a burning effect but no harm is done but when the same is used by us or our family member noting happens.

The different reply of Thread is of different view of each person, since we are no a child to post this type of Question and your example a Child, Physical or emotional problems, disabilty is all a dfferent issue which i think is no relevant answer. Even if you see a physically disability child have some good talent which we should try to understand it and get it out of this from the child.

It is not one personal failures like a big Business man lost everything in a single day it is the Karma Poorna Janma Karma as per what Acharya has replied. My view is Education doesnot solve all purpose it the practical knowledge which we learn from our daily activity and our faith and one should be always be helpful nature to help other mainly the poors, poor people feeding is greatest of all that is why know a days NGO have started campaigning to give them left over food of Party, marriage etc so that the same is not put in dustbin but the same can be distributed to poor people. It is not that one life has changed suddenly i.e going through a bad phase he leaves all thing but this stage make him more stronger and stronger to come back again which make him more stronger the only thing is he should not leave the hope and inner belief and should always be dedicated to God and Elders.

Dear KUMARAA Sir

Believing in Pariharam etc is different and keeping positive thoughts is different';Please remember your negative thoughts will drag you down into further misery. Please go through Google Search and read about the mind power which is called " The Law of Attraction" you will know better.
You can do it, by focusing on 'greenery' at the end of your bad period , and do not focus on the bad period .
It is your life and the only person who can solve is You and you only, not any pariharam etc.
Have a nice day
