And TVK Sir,

That was also the movie in which Shivaji Rao Gaekwad was introduced as 'Rajinikant'
by KB.

Forgot what role ? - Last few scenes only during the song " Kelviyin Nayakane " - Sri Vidya's
husband, suffering from a terminal illness.

"Andha Naal Nyabagam .............. "

Yay Yem

Please revisit the high-lighted portion of your response. It is NOT that ALL it takes is a man and woman to beget a child. It is a minimum requirement and there appears a lot more of variables attached to it.

Otherwise we will not be having so many slokas, stotras, mantras etc. requesting Grace for an off-spring, nor would there be stigmatic and unpalatable words like barren women etc. in the dictionary.

Pardon me sir! These were the lines I wished to highlight! :)

Dear TVK Sir

That was " Apoorva Raagangal "

Yay Yem

I have no idea how can a much older woman actually fall in love with a much younger man?

Won't they feel shy especially when they have a physical relationship cos the young man is in his prime of youth and the older woman is gravity challenged in some regions, wrinkled and out of shape most of the while! Yucks.

With someone who is almost the same age as us..both age together so there is not so much difference in physical appearance.

I have seen some very old women here having very young husbands and these women are so stressed up trying to look young and go for all sorts of cosmetic surgeries to look younger.
These young men only target rich lonely spinsters or divorcees and suck them dry of money and eventually leave for a young woman.

BTW IQ and thinking won't match too..how on earth to survive such relationships?

I really wonder!

Obviously Neither their relationship nor they survive for long!!!

Rev. Harry Powell.

Rev. Harry Powell is a fictional character in Davis Grubb’s 1953 novel, The Night of The Hunter. Powell is a preacher, a con artist and a serial killer! He has the words LOVE and HATE tattooed on his knuckles to depict the struggle between the two, during his sermons.

He spreads the Gospel up and down the Ohio River in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He gains the trust and confidence of wealthy widows in order to marry them and kill them for their money. Driven by his hatred to women, he thinks that he is doing God’s work on earth!

Grubb based Rev.Harry Powell on Harry F. Powers, who lived in Quiet Dell, West Virginia. He had lured several widows and their children by way of “Lonely hearts” ads in the news paper.

The lonely heart killer Herman Drenth was a traveling sales man in West Virginia. He is more popularly known by his last alias as Harry F. Powers. He used the matrimonial correspondence agencies to lure and ensnare lonely women and rich widows whom he robbed and murdered.

The police estimated that he had killed 50 victims before his arrest. But he confessed to killing 5 people in his murder garage where he bound them and killed them with gas.

Harry Powers is known severally as “The lonely hearts killer”, “The matrimonial bureau murderer”, The West Virginia Blue beard” and “The butcher of Clarksburgh”.

He went to the gallows with out a tremor or twitch in his face and without showing any sense of guilt or remorse!

A real villain he was, from the beginning to end!

I once had a patient who had hit menopause and turned hysterical in my consultation room when I told her that her absence of menses is due to menopause.

She was becoming hysterical and I was wondering "why would any woman become hysterical with menopause unless???"

Then I asked her "do you have a much younger husband?"

She said "yes!! and started crying even louder!"LOL

If the sperm donor divorces one and marries another and get an offspring through that what is the position of law? Similarly, does a husband's consent is required for a surrogate mother? Nobody knew when the law was made it will become a law unto itself? Modern life has tendency to take us away from life.

In my opinion, we are not modern yet. We are still primitive with primitive emotions.

Thats why death is still the best form of freedom! No consent needed! When it's time up you just go!LOL

Widely held belief that miscarriages are soley the womens fault is proven wrong by study done in AIIMS recently on men. Study has found that most men who has reported consecutive miscarriages by their wives had fragmented or damaged DNA in their sperm caused by excessive free radicals mainly due to stress, infections or unhealthy lifestyle.

With modern science, one can find out what is what if only one is interested to know or seek the truth. I think it is also wrong to judge a man if he cannot produce. His other man-instincts, other than sex, should be in tact. In conjugal relationship if he is a 'sleeping partner', he can honestly live an independent man's life. In the modern world, the way the issues are behaving, it is a bliss. Sorry I do not want to, nor it is intended to mean, portend something bad or talk ill of all human beings, oldest and the youngest and all those between them.

It's still Yucks OK!

How to agree with such things!

If one can't have a child for whatever reason just accept it as fate and remain childless.
I also don't know how some women agree to donor sperm!

Seen so many cases when I was in India..real conservative families going in for donor sperm.
How to allow the seed of some other man grow in you?

I think opinions differ on this one. For example childless couples often adopt. Normally why would you allow somebody else's progeny to live in your house and inherit your property? Once you have gone beyond that, there are surrogate mothers who allow somebody else's child to populate their womb. Once people have accepted that, it is only a small step to become pregnant with non-husband's sperm.

It is Kali Yuga after all, people are getting accustomed to playing God and taking their fate in their own hands (or wombs).

I agree with you that miscarriages, or more specifically, lack of fertility is due to chromosomal abnormalities. However the defects can come from both sperm and eggs which supply equal number of chromosomes. It is also a fact that women experience reduced fertility in their late 30s and early 40s because of decrease in egg quality (chromosomal defects). On the other hand men can produce viable offspring even in their 60s.

That said I wouldn't want to characterize an unfortunate event such as a miscarriage as anybody's fault.

Dear Biswa,

When a woman loves a man she only wants his child to grow in her.

There are precedents - hanuman, karna, dhritarashtra, pandu and many more - their births are special. In exceptional circumstances, begetting sons was acceptable and had sanction. Is there any instance of a 'daughter' born this way?
