# 56. AFFECTION AND ANIMOSITY.
As far as 'Mukthi' is concerned 'bakthi'' and 'dwEsham' are equal, in all respects.
They look like opposite words, but they are the two sides of the same coin!
Extreme love culminates in 'bhakti' and extreme hatred in 'dwEsham'.
Which of these is superior? Bhakti to krishnA or dwEsham to Him?
Bhakti in a hundred births is equal to the dwEsham in three births!
This is true according to the time scale of KrishnA.
We remember the person whom we love now and then; but we remember the
person whom we hate - like a constant fire kept alive in the mind.
Krishna does not bother about the emotions accompanying our thoughts - since He
is beyond rAgA and dwEshA. When we fulfill the time requirement, He showers His
blessings on us.
Isn't it strange that Bhayam and BhEthi work in the same way as Affection and
love in winning MOkshA?
