Good for him. Not to be cynical but one has to wonder if converting to Catholicism (like Nikki Randhawa) helped his political ambition at all. Well it sure wasn't an obstacle that's for sure :)

I thought America is anti-catholic!! Heard Kennedy was assassinated for he being one among, and it was difficult for a Catholic to become a President in US, with an exception of JFK, who was finally destined with bullets.

So, where is the advantage of Catholic coming here for the Indian called Bobby Jindal

PS: wondering who that Nikki Randhawa is..??

Nikki Randhawa is now Nikki Haley, arch conservative and Republican governor of South Carolina.

I personally view all Republicans of Indian origin as betrayers.

Both Bobby and Nikki are converts. Nikki's conversion was kind of questioned, but not Jindal's. Without adopting some form of Christianity there is no way a phorenor can win state-wide election in most places in the U.S. Further, they both have adopted an extreme form of conservative politics, another prerequisite for electoral success in the South. Bobby Jindal was a rising star with presidential potential, but he made a fool of himself when he gave the nationally televised Republican response to Barack Obama's first State of Union address, and his star came crashing down.

cheers ....
