Cell phone obsession?

Dear RR ji,


The loss is not much cos now the grooms side will know that no bride will want to cook for 30 people on weekly basis.

So the grooms mother will now stop inviting 30 people home every Sunday..so just think how much money they can save??LOL

Also a phone call that interrupts someone in the presence of others is seen by the person receiving the call as somehow important in front of others.

In one of the meditation class I attended a person received two calls and he was answering to whoever that he is meditating!
he interrupted everyone..

Occasionally an older person is given a smart phone and they do not know how to switch off the phone in places that requires complete silence - so all the rest of the people have to put up with the calls being received by that individual.

Unless there is a big fine involving money imposed on such people this practice will never stop

Instead of a fine, hire a watchman to collect the cell phones at the entrance and issue tokens ?

I think that it is high time to treat cellphones just like the way shoes/chappals are treated/collected at the entrance to temples, concert halls, wedding mandapams etc!
 
Dear RR ji,

Recently one senior doctor I met told me that he lost his smartphone to a monkey.
He was playing Golf and kept his smartphone on the ground beneath a tree and monkey climb down the tree and took his smartphone and went up the tree again.

He said he tried everything to make the monkey give it back and then when the smartphone rang..the monkey became curious and looked at it and went to an even higher branch.

The monkey just refused to give back his smartphone and kept playing with it.

So not only humans but monkeys too like smartphones!

There are many shops in Tirumala and each of the tour guides have one specific shop to collect our cell phones and footwear

- of course separately - for a nominal charge. I take a carry bag to keep the footwear so that it will be easier to locate them

among the dozens of footwear thrown down from a huge gunny bag! :cool:

The reason why the cellphone is costly in the west is because of all the bundled features like phone,internet, wi-fi, camera, video etc. However there are lots of people who get by with bare essentials – just calling and texting., and going for pre-paid cards. The latter situation is not unlike what prevails currently in India. Even if cost becomes a factor, the people are crazy enough to own a mobile phone!

One of my music students showed her new smart phone to another student and

she too bought one and brought to the next class!

P.S: They shelled out about 16 K + so easily! :cool:

Contrast this with the willingness of the students to pay higher tuition fees, should the teacher or school ask for it!!!!!
Somethings are always more important than knowledge!!!!

Why does she need to invite 30 people every week? :grouphug:

It must be one of those 30 houses by rotation. :bump2:

I guess she feeds and extracts enough gossip :hungry:

to keep her busy till the next Sunday! :gossip:

everything for FREE

In R.S Puram a girl demanded for a smart phone and the latest scooter.

When her father refused she just went in hung herself! :shocked:
 
Most people do not lend their mobiles.
May be they have some contacts
which they want to keep secret. :spy:
We (I and my husband) are the ONLY two people to my knowlege
who get on a flgiht without a mobile.
When the sons get delayed to receive us due to heavy traffic,
we will sit on a bench and wait till they turn up! :couch2:
