.Dear Dr.ReNuka, I have read the replies/counter replies of Drb & yours. One thing I want all those who had been writing on the Topic of Charity(it should Charity a Luxary ) We have discussed enough in the Forum. You know me well. I am for an objective action to help those Brahmin ( Tamil ) the youngsters by meeting their financial needs while going in for higher studies . For this maim problem is as to how to find out such needy Boys & Girls every year . For this I wrote in this topic that Mr. Praveen should come out & spell out the policy, if any in this forum ? But he is silent I do not know Why ?
You Two .., ladies esp. wrote discouraging the proposal , that it will not take off ? Do suggest ways & means as to hoe to go about ? Please , from your side request our Mentor Praveen to give his experience.
Most importantly I have asked in one of my writings that " the Call for $ donations for the sight by Mr PRAVEEN . Why not we become serious to add the Charity aspect also in that--- because both are BEGGING for our societies upliftment, esp. that of new young Brahmins to be helped for higher studies Etc by a workable plan.

Please let me know as to how my views about the already advertised by Mr Praveen seeking Doller donations for improving the Site. ,can it not be combined, In that I also seek your serious views, since the Topic of this Wsite being similar, can it not be clubbed & make a broader Appeal to ALL.?

I have not been discouraging but rather I was quite direct about what would happen. If again and again I see you appealing that shows that response is total almost next to nothing.

For stating this harsh fact me and another female member were called all sorts of names in Forum.

Let me address this right away. Thanks Renukaji for sending me a note on this.

Firstly i am not against starting a Charity. The site was instrumental in setting up of a charitable organization couple of years ago. I was also part of it but i decided to come out because of an issue with another trustee and things were not happening. So i did not want to be a reason for not doing anything, so i came out. (If someone wants to know the details, plz pm.)

1. At present, i do not have much of a time as my personal life (my 2 yr old son in particular) and my work keeps me fully occupied. So if you are looking for me to take the first step, it might not happen in the foreseeable future. There is a plan to integrate a trust into the workings of this website. But it might not happen soon. I have a few committments that i need to take care of. So only when i am sure that those are ok, i can step into setting up of a trust and its activities full time.

2. However, i am perfectly ok if a few members want to setup a trust and use this website as a base provided the site's name is not tarnished in any manner whatsoever. I can also be a silent trustee/partner (whatever you call it) until my situation improves. Once i am free of those comittments and/or i have time to attend to this.

I do not want to be spearhead something when i cannot give my 100%. It will not do justice to the cause and i would rather be a deadweight.

3. At the same time, i am also, from time to time, speaking to a few individuals who can take over the site completely and transform it into a trust/charitable organization etc... This would mean buying the site from me completely for a fee that we can discuss/negotiate. If needed i can be around or if they are quiet capable of managing the site, i do not mind stepping back and maybe continue as a regular member.

To summarize:
1. There is a longterm plan to setup a trust/charity using the website.
2. Members can join together and setup a trust. Site can be used as a platform as long as the site's name is not tarnished in any way.
3. Buy the site outright for a fee.

Hope this clears the air a bit.

Contd------ I , who was eager to join other veterans of this Forum including a few of women who are really , actively contributing almost all the topics. could enlist about 10 members to identify families & youngsters who are desiring to have higher studies & do not have the wherewhithal ( source/ money)--can be helped be seeking donations specifically to that guys.
Please try to locate deserving families / poor students for the year 2015 .
