Cooler Chennai this summer

Sravna..tell me the truth please...is this Thread just for fun or are you really serious?

Cos as far as I know even Swamiji's dont really interfere with laws of nature.

I am reminded of a story where one person was trying to get some Siddhic powers to learn to walk on water to cross a river.

Then if I am not mistaken it was Ramakrishna Paramahansa who told him "I just take a boat to cross a river"

Sravna..I am no Swamiji or Mataji..but if you want a cooler summer please get an AC(Air conditioning unit)

Some years back, when Chennai was gripped with very severe water shortage, a famous Violinist went to Red Hills lake and played sitting on the dried lake. I don't know the outcome.

Just to take the other side, California is the middle of a 500 year drought.

On TV recently I saw a news report that showed a few hundred Muslims praying in a fair-ground in the traditional style to bring rain. Apparently it is a 1400 yr old prayer, and the gesture was kind of touching actually.

It seems that in a separate event Roman Catholics also prayed for rain. And lo and behold a couple of weeks later we start having sprinkles.

Assault ji...LOL!

One time I used the word Gun and you seem addicted to the word!LOL

This song is for you.

Good-bye Joe, he gotta go, me oh my oh
He gotta-go pole the pirogue down the bayou
His Yvonne the sweetest one, me oh my oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou

Let us get real. Chennai will never experience a moderate climate. I've heard of 45+'c days in May, and also chilly days throughout December and January (hearsay, heard from elders when I was a kid). It rained everyday last year in July (or so I heard). Climate change may or may not be real, but Chennai's heat will remain thanks to it's unique geography. Prayers won't cool a tiny piece of the earth. Fyi..the Arakonam Vellore belt is supposed to be one of the hottest places on earth (average mean temp round the year).

Is Bangalore also included in the prayer? I am seeing some pleasant climate in Bangalore last few days..even some drizzle.

My view is that the change will be such any side effects are also taken care of. So a holistic change may well include Bangalore , even whole of India or even the complete globe. Lets wait and see.
