The impact of gossip can be multifaceted. Suppose, if someone gives a negative information
about some one, though it may not be true or an actual thing, it not only affects
the person's psyche and makes him look down in the society, as if he/she has done
a mistake, as against the actual truth. As a result of this, sometime, people who are having
friendship either in the office, or family, or in the school/college, etc for a long time get separated.

Normally gossip starts either in the Temple premises or Market area or in Water collection,
Milk collection point, etc. Some make use of the gossip as a form of advertisement to their
business. Gossip can paint a picture of both good and bad. If it is negative it will have a bad
effect on one.

Gossip affects the productivity factor in the industry and studies in the School/Colleges
besides output in the office too.

Absolutely true. Once I faced the problem and my immediate boss stopped talking to me for nearly a month. Puram pesudhal is such a bad quality which settles a permanent dent in relationship.

I have worked before with consultants who used listen to whatever people talk about other docs and treat them badly.

I find such behavior really dumb cos why form a judgement based on someone else's assessment?
 
Often while communicating with people hard of hearing
I would think of creating three card boards with
one these written on each one of them
"yes" :high5:

"No" :nono:
"May be" :decision:

and hold it up depending on my reply. :)

Trivia is the junction of the roads where
the jobless-males used to gather and :gossip:
The word trivial meaning "not important"
was born out of trivia. :)

They are the worst of the lot!
Once I heard with my own ears a senior doc(lets call him Doc A) speaking over the phone to the director general of health and cooking up stories about a new surgeon.

You see that new surgeon was the son of another senior doc who was not in good terms with Doc A.

Then when Doc A realized I heard the conversation he said "if you open your mouth about this I will make a call and make sure you are transferred to a remote village"

So this is what doctors do to each other and try to cause career damage.
 
It is like the threats uttered in movies.
"I did not say anything!
You did not hear anything!
Got it???"
