God knows why that priest wants so many wives!!

I always wondered about that! Why would a man need more women? a girl can handle many boys, I can understand..... this other way around is weird. I think, it is only the power struggle thing. The man overpowers the woman by telling her he could chooose one of the few in his control... you know what I mean? where as she has no choice but look up foe just one source, that too have to compete with other women too! Psychologically quite demeaning.

Cheers!

Sowbagyavathy Renuka,

Vikramathithan's father, I think, chandra varma or someone like that married 4 girls, one from each varna. But that was a special occassion. A prosttitute claimed and sued him that he should marry him since she nursed him from near death. So, the ruling was, he had to marry her. Since she was a sudhra girl, he had to marry one from each varna. But as per sastra, only if the brahmin is going to marry a sudhra girl he must 3 more from each varna. But if he was going to marry a kshatriya girl, he can only marry two..one from kshatriya & one from higher, a brahmana. Actually same rule applies to other varna too. Kshatriya can marry three, vaisya can marry two and sudhra can marry only one.

Cheers!

In India you can justify anything, if you are powerful, or don't care for others opinion.
You can justify on the basis of constitution, religion, shastras, family traditions, birth right, or simply politics.

So that proves that the sambar does not taste good that's why the rat died!!
So if you see the rat happily swimming and drinking the sambar then its Ok to patronize that hotel!!

Sowbagyavathy Renuka, Greetings.

Reference post #56. That song is one of my favourite. The night before my sons wedding, Brides brother asked me if there was any song that I like to listen... I asked him to play this song!.. He thought I was making fun of him and did not play it though!:tsk: Then my wife chased me away.....

Cheers!

You are right..girls can multitask well. But an effeminate male makes a good friend to most girls.

When we were interns there used to be one male doctor very very effeminate..we used to even have a girlish name for him and he would follow all the female doctors like a little puppy and be such a good friend.

We girls never felt he was like a guy.We used to think of him as a girl only.

We would drag him along shopping and he would help us chose clothes too.

Girls feel save around such guys.

We used to think that he was gay looking at his walk, talk and peculiar gait but he was not gay and he is happily married now.

Has anyone heard of Country Poisoning?

Sounds weird but I can't understand why each time my husband touches down in India the moment he walks on Indian soil after getting down from the plane he gets a high fever that lasts for as long we are there.
This has happened 4 times so far.

The moment we are back in Malaysia his fever will just vanish.

I wonder why this happens cos this has never happened to anyone of us in the family.

Once he asked me if it has got anything to do with any ancestral problem that he falls sick the moment he lands in India. He is a first generation Malaysian here. His dad and paternal ancestors are from India.

I told him may be he should try visiting China and see if he falls sick cos he also has some Chinese blood from his paternal grandmother.

I think I will book him a ticket to China soon and see if the same thing happens!

I am really wondering why this happens.

You know I really wonder why this happens..becos of this he dare not travel to India anymore.

Any other country is Ok even if he goes alone.

LOL!! You know once he asked me if any ancestors from my(renu) side or his side can cause this.
I said nope!! We are landing in Bangalore by flight..all my ancestors are from Paramakudi and Lahore so not possible.

His ancestors are from Kerala,Tamil Nadu and China so not possible again.

Oh, Renu! Don't ever say 'Not possible'. I saw a movie a couple of days back 'Anandhapuraththu Veedu' and

the mom ghost cooks food, does laundry and cleans the house too! When a ghost can do so much, the ancestors
can easily travel without boarding a flight, right?
:plane:
