Sowbagyavathy Renuka,

It's not easy to have CHINNA VEEDU's anymore!

I don't think so. It is quite possible in Australia. There are a lot of 'single mothers' around. Some of them are leading a life as 'Chinna veedu' only. She is not depended upon the guy for money since she would be getting allowance of her own. Not only that, even women who are married have affairs; there is a dating agency only to 'connect' married persons with others!

Cheers!

If you have more than one house and if one of them is 'Periya veedu', then others are........ 'chinna veedu/s!'

Cheers!

The other house is given on rental - so no chinna veedu. How the concept of chinna veedu got developed - Normally in olden days the truck owners used to have one house in their normal place of living and kept another house in some places where they used to visit frequently. Even though there was no fear of AIDS in those days, truck owners were very carfeful to have some permanent arrangements. Neverthless since it was normally for a limited period of time they used to take some smaller houses. Hence the concept of Chinna Veedu. This was what I heard in my younger days. Any other explanation ??

Dear Venkat JI

In olden days it was either the king or his high level colleagues used to have, or could afford the mistress, and since the main palace or the mini palaces where they lived with the legally wed wife it must have been called " Periya veedu " and the other one naturally the opposite " chinna veedu"?..
Cheers!!

Yes..white woman are more into for emotions and affection and not too much looking at the financial status of a man.
I have noted that white females believe in building a home together with their husbands and contribute well to the home too in terms of finance.

But in the Asian forefront it is not really like that... a man is seen as a money providing object and a woman is seen as a pleasure providing object.

Married woman having affairs happen even among Asians..but it's just that they are smart in covering their tracks but acting demure and shy.

Look what we have got here!!LOL

Thread of "Food Poisioning" slowly moving into the direction of "mind poisioning". It should not result in more people raising their hands to move to Australia or started looking for 'Chinna Veedu" near to their places of living.

Enjoy !!

Indians lead migrants to australia - latest news! Despite spate of attacks on indian students last year. Appears locals are facing stiff competition from indian migrants.

Anway this song is for all you guys who are in CHINNA VEEDU mode!!

I enjoyed that song! That is one of my favourite songs. I don't know about others, but I love the idea of 'Chinna Veedu!'! Am I in a 'Chinna Veedu' mode? Why not? yes! :biggrin1:

One reason for 'chinna vedu' is pure raw physical needs. Lets us leave that aside. There is no fun in that at all.

The second reason is the glamour in that idea and the desire for seeking the thrill involved. There are few rules to be strictly followed too. Important basic rule is, one should be very open to Chinna Veedu; dishonesty would never be accepted. Periya veedu will not know the identity of chinna veedu; but chinna veedu will know everything about periya veedu.

Most often in this thrill seeking chinna veedu set-up, there may not be any physical contact at all! Mostly the guy would be a bit old with a nice established family; he wouldn't be expected to walk away from the family ( actually even any such talk would bring curtains to chinna vedu thing!); and the chinna veedu would be usually much younger, mostly very asttractive, well presented young lady.

The thrill is, this young lady would show up every now again when this guy goes out with family for dinner or movies or any outing etc. She would kind of show up by a coincidence and spend some time briefly with them! even the brazen china veedu may even strike up a closeness with periya veedu without giving away anything about this guy while she always knows everything in detail about any information coming out of periya veedu's mouth! that guy would be expected to entertain this 'unexpected acquaintance' 'coincidently dropped by!'. He would be expected to manage the situation well and still maintain the dignity and status for both ladies! :juggle:

P.S - I am not recommending this to anyone! If my wife read this post :boxing: :scared: I will be skinned alive!

Cheers!

A scene from one of Mr K Balachandar's movie "Manmatha Leelai" where the heroine's father have kept the "chinna veedu" within the same premises of Peria Veedu. All family decisions of family taken with the consent of Chinna Veedu also by way of a sign language - One Thummal -Not OK and two thummal - OK.

Aslo, in the film Agniprevesam , direcotr Mani Ratnam explained the concept of Chinna Veedu where the affairs of both the families known to each other.

In one of Balakumaran's novel (I am not able to recollect the title), where the Chettiar lives with Aachi in Peria Veedu and have a chinna at the place where his estate was. As explained by in details, in the novel Chinna Veedu was attrative, young in age and able to satisfy Chettiar in all respects. Peria Veedu was aware of this and allowed the chettiar to continue.

Ms Renuka / RR - don't pull my leg on this post as I have only shared some of the scenes in movies and from a novel. I still maintain there is no chinna veedu for me.

An interesting Epizode..happened 10 years back...

A big Business house in India decided to send some its Executives to Goa for 3 days ..to a holiday resort..The company advised its executives to take their spouse along with them for complete 'relaxation' and rest...Everything went on well and all the executives returned to their work in joyful 'mood'

After week or so the company HR sent a 'thanks' letter to each executive's residence ..addressed to their spouses having accompanied their husbands and made the get-together a memorable one..

Then..then.. VOLCANO..erupted in every executive's house... Because..

NON of the executives went to Goa with their ORIGIONAL spouse....!!

Guys think that only they can have Chinna Veedus..I have many female patients who have Chinna Veedans.

You see females have to confide in someone about most things so the best person is their doctor.

I know all about some patients escapades.

Guys have no idea how discreet a female can be if she wants.

I once had a patient who had 2 Thalis on her neck..one tied by her 1st husband and the other by her Chinna Veedan!!LOL
In one yellow string she wore both Thalis.

So guys never underestimate a female.
