t is just a day to enjoy and share our happiness with the our kith and kin. When the British people ruled us they used the opportunity to test the submissiveness of their workers and it became a habit to meet superiors with honours. It is sad that we continue till date. It shows our slavery attitude. Pity is that we don't celebrate our mother tongue tamizh and the relative new year. Are we speaking pure tamizh? We are murdering our mother. So make it a point to speak pure tamil and take vow

do you know new year used to start on march 1st when there were 10 months to a year.Later on 2 more months january

and february got added.January was named after janus who was supposed to have two faces , a bearded one looking

backwards and clean shaven forwards.

what people in various countries do on New years day.

1. Switzerland-In swiss homes ,dollops of whipped cream are dropped on the floor and allowed to stay there for good luck

2. Russia-On eve plunge into frozen lakes holding trunks of trees-this includes siberia also

3.Denmark- The Dutch leave smashed plates on their neighbours doorstep. More broken crockery ,more luck

4.Panama-Lighting a torch to the ghosts and spirits of the past year. Also make bonfire of pictures, models of celebrities

and politicians for good luck

5.Romania-Farmers spend time trying to communicate with their animals as they think it will bring them good luck.

6.South america-Underwear fetish-people roam around in coloured underwears-red for luck in love, yellow for money

.7Italy-Couples Throng in St Marks square and engage in mass kissing.

It is a crazy world.

What do indians do on new years day ?
