Dear All

Wish you all a Very Happy New Year - may the coming days, months and years see you in good
health, spirits and prosperity.

I am sorry that I haven't being doing justice to the TBF - by not logging in for a while now.
2015 was hectic, terribly stressful and tiring - but turtles have that stamina and endurance.
[ through all that, I was able to meet-up with Dr Ross a few times ]

Hopefully, in 2016 things will ease out a bit and that I'll once again be able to interact
with all the lovely folk in TBF.

Cheers and Good Wishes again

Capt. VT

...... 1. do you know new year used to start on march 1st when there were 10 months to a year...............

2. What do indians do on new years day ?
Why not, Krish Sir!

1. In Latin septem = seven; octo = eight; Novembris = nineth; decem = ten

P.S: How come seventh, ninth and tenth month in this order, hold good even in Sanskrit? (sapta, nava and dasa)

Which language copied the other? :noidea:

2. Tamil New Year starts in Chithirai month and you know what we do! :D

Other states follow other days and celebrations for their New Year.

P.S: 'mEttuk kudi makkaL' booze, sing and dance on the English New Year Day, in India! ... :grouphug:
