Dear Mr.Ravi,

Songs of Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi... superb collection. The way the song opens in "ek ladki bheegi" with SDBurman tinkling the small screws and creating music,,, one immidiately falls in love with the antics of Kishore Da. "Panch Rupaiya Barah Anna" takes us to some other world of Kishore Antics.. That movie is one of the top 10's in my collection. Cheers -you also seem to like that.

Yeah!!! True!!!

Off course, I like that. I enjoyed watching that movie and grew listening to all those wonderful songs.....

many of you may have heard the song O duniya ke rakhwala sung by the greatest singer of all tmes
Mohammed Rafi under the music direction of vizard Naushad Ali from the film BAIJU BAWRA. No? Hear
the so expressive and soul stirring song . I am sure you would add to your favourite play list.

I do not know whether the following wonderful song has been posted before .Anyway sharing it for all the members :
Theme Song - Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan - Pyar Ka Mausam [1969] - 2 Versions

The theme song (Tum bin jaoon kahan) is sung twice by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar .The song is a key part of the movie like the key songs in later movies of Nasir Hussain ( Yaadon Ki Baraat and Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin ).However,Mohammed Rafi famous version of tum bin is for the hero of the movie The key song helps in uniting long lost family/lovers in all three films. The film became a Silver Jubilee Hit.....

"Pyar Ka Mausam" is a 1969 movie under Nasir Hussain films banner. It starred Shashi Kapoor and the Nasir Husain fixture- Asha Parekh. It also had Bharat Bhushan , Nirupa Roy , Madan Puri and another Nasir Husain fixture Rajendranath. Two more Husain fixtures wrote the memorable songs: lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri and music composer R.D. Burman who also acts as comic relief in the film.

Here are the 2 versions of Kishore and Rafi:

Kishore - Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan - Pyar Ka Mausam [1969]

Rafi - Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan - Pyar Ka Mausam [1969]

If I remember correctly, the song Aaja Sanam was to be sung by Mukesh, but he gently refused and said only Manna Dey could justice to the long winding tune. That is the greatness of Mukesh, the man with a golden voice and heart to match.

That is the greatness of Mukesh, the man with a golden voice and heart to match.
Yes Mukesh was and is uncomparable with any singer of his time. The hits he gave with RK, Shailendra, & Shanker Jaikishen, cannot be compared with any thing. That was golden era and can never be replaced. in memory here are few gems:
Mera Joota Hai Japani - Raj Kapoor - Nargis - Shri 420 - Evergreen Bollywood Hits - Mukesh - YouTube

Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar - Raj Kapoor - Anari - Mukesh - Manna Dey - Evergreen Hindi Songs - YouTube

Duniya banane wale kya tere man-(Teesri Kasam 1966) - YouTube

yes Manoharkumar, Mukesh's songs are innumerable to name. In Teesri Kasam there is another song which is my favourite apart from Duniya Banane wale. It is Sajanwa behri ho gay hamar. ( I cant add video yet as I dont have enough points).

dear mskrishna 100 #
i like the song sung by mr. rafi. and the comment by one listener also note worthy.
Friends Kishore and Rafi are two icons and legends in Hindi songs. Each had his own style and both are unique. Kishore kumar had more voice modulations but in some songs Rafisaab was unbeatable. In real life they were good friends and admired each other. There will be no end of this impossible comparison and endless discussion. So both fan club be happy and enjoy their immortal creations which will live on even in next century.
