Dear Sri.sangom and Dear Sri.Yamaka, Greetings.

I was following your conversation with interest.

While few different point of views were discussed, in my opinion, an important point of view, usually expressed by the faithfuls is missing. So, I thought of adding that point of view in the discusion, please.

Most of Sri.Yamaka's assertions based on how hard he worked, how well he planned, how vigilant he was when it came to his children's health and welfare. The whole conversation was centered on Sri.Yamka; Sri.Yamka's actions.

I consider the instance when, Sri.Yamaka was vigilant for the wellbeing of his child. I am considering the child as the subject, not Sri.Yamaka as the subject.

Any faithful would have said, without batting his/her eyelids..' That child is very lucky to have someone like Sri.Yamaka as the father! It is the child's 'poorva janma punyam; karma palan', that child is blessed with vigilant and sincere parents like Sri.Yamaka! That child must have been a punyatma!'... Well, I can think of more point of views too.

(Sri.Yamaka, I did not express 'the faithful point of view' for debate purposes. From experience I know, a child should should be extremely lucky to have caring and planning, self-less parents. Doesn't happen to all the children. Kudos to you. Still, there is one more point of view to consider, please).

Cheers!

Sri Raghy,

I line with your latest post....

There are many such real life stories, where one person was equal to GOD in all his/her intelligence, initiatives, caring, advising, leading etc and his wife / her husband and children were lucky to be in their hands to find their life flourishing..

Many stranded boys were lucky to find a helping hand from one outsider out of blue, to lift them in their life...

Many intelligent/talented/skilled and good mannered guys and girls have lost all those qualities without any scope of using them due to many constraints/uncertaininties/without any single support from any quarter.

Life is like that...

My apologies for bringing up an old thread ..
We have a long weekend at USA and I was catching up on many posts.

Given everyone is back and active I assume all is well and no one has quit ?
If so that is a great news in my view

I have come to understand that only in a TB forum can we have such Tamasha :-)

Damocles (flourished 4th century BC) Member of the court of Dionysus I the Elder at Syracuse in Sicily. Legend holds that when Damocles spoke in extravagant terms of Dionysus's happiness, the sovereign responded by inviting Damocles to a banquet and seating him beneath a sword suspended by a thread, thereby demonstrating the precarious fortunes of people who hold power.

Dear Mr. TKS,

All is well that ends well!

Yes! Nobody left the forum-despite the imminent and constant threat posed by the sword of Damocles.

And everyone GOT what they set out to get! Isn't it a wonderful news to all the people concerned?

with warm regards,
Mrs.V.R.

I think, someone has ceased participating in the forum. If that is the case, personally, I will miss his contributions.

Dear Mr. Raghy,

Either the others HAVEN'T noticed the absence of that person

OR already know the other name in which the person is operating! :spy:

My guess.. may or may not be correct!

Or might he/she be warned secretly?! :noidea:

with warm regards,
Mrs. V.R.

Dear Sowbagyavathy Visalakshi Ramani, Greetings.

I don't know about others; I notice the absence. No, he writes only in one name, period. He had not done any mistake warranting any warning, secretly or otherwise. I hope he is feeling well, heathwise. Hopefully one day he will come back.

Cheers!

Dear Mr. Raghy,

I think I know whom you are talking about!

He has done it earlier and he will do it again. :playball:

Yes he keeps appearing and disappearing

at regular intervals and spends the silent spells

surveying the scene incognito. :spy:

So he WILL come back. Rest assured! :)

with warm regards,
Mrs. V.R. :pray2:

Mrs VR :-)

Are you referring to KRSji (in his role as a poster not as a moderator).
I did not see too many posts from him since joining though he always had something interesting to say in my view.
I may be incorrect since I thought he was not doing any "Sathyagraha" and threatening to quit..

Regards ..

Hypocrisy is a strong word. Humans are born imperfect and life is a long learning process. So, why plead guilty of being what we are? We tell everyone that they should work hard and contribute to the society, while most of us sit before computers and redirect electrons. Is that hypocrisy? Everything would become hypocrisy that way. Lets not be hard on ourselves. It is ok to believe in an ideal world, advocate virtues and yet not be perfect ourserlves. I don't see that as hypocrisy. We are not mahatmas or even 1/millionth of some Acharyas.

Nice post Dr.Barani. True we are plain human. But then being human also means having the sense of being self-correcting. Perhaps its a good idea to nip off some things in the bud. Because some people can become seasoned hypocrites with age. Some examples of hypocricy are:

1) when people expect respect for merely being aged.

2) when people speak of culture when they do indirect name-calling.

3) when people practice 2 sets of rules, one for themselves, and another for others. Like alluding to missing posters with indirect allegations of proxies. But then when some mention so directly, the indirect-specialists will create mayhem.

4) when people think that are nice people just because they are religious, and/or do charity, while doing other forms of crap.

5) when people realise their immediate preceding forefathers were converts from so-called 'low-caste' into a new caste, and yet continue to despice "low-castes'.

6) when people think God is on their side despite wanting harm or doing harm to others.

7) when people think of themselves as infallible.

May be that's what making this Forum more attractive and intersting!!!

I totally agree with Dr.Barani.Every one is a born hypocrite in some way or other and there is no point to call ourselves hypocrites as this is the way 99.99 % of the human beings are from birth.
