Namaste everyone.
I am Geetu Habibah.I am sure everyone will be surprised by my name.
I am a product of inter religious marriage of a Tamil Muslim father and a TB mother.

I am a member of ISKCON and joined here to keep in touch with my TB roots.

hi geetu,

welcome to the forum. as brahmanyan has already said, and i agree 100%, this is a great forum. we have folks with wide ranging views, what we call 0% tambrams to those a few percentage higer.

this modern world, there is no 100% brahmin,or even close. but all of us share a common heritage, and each ofus in our own ways, pay ode to the ancestrage, not always all flattering :)

please be aware, that praveen the owner of the forum, has given us all leeway to express what we desire, as long as we maintain polity and avoid epithets. though you might find odd ones sprinkled here and there.

also, be prepared to defend iskcon critically, for many here might cast doubt on swami prabhupada and his kudumi wearing saffron clad white skinned followers :)

also, it would be most welcome to have another of your gender here - for like the rest of india, we too are lopsided here in gender distribution with the males overwhelming the females - in quantity, though not necessarily, of quality.

vandhanam !!

Dear Geetu habibha, If you like, you can give us a brief about the inter religious marriage & was it easy for the parents to get it done ? Because, I always feel it would be a herculian effort.

Please give me time to get used to forum.I grew up in a secular household where both my parents tried to project a secular neutral non commitment to religion sorts of thinking.

Thank god me and my brother Anand Mohammed realized the emptiness of life and got drawn to ISCKON.

I never really cared too much about the trials and tribulations my parents would have faced in their inter religious marriage because that was their life.

As long I am providing my kids religion and God, I am happy.

Give me time, I will be back after thinking if I really want to hang around more.

Dear Geetu, Thanks for writing this much. It is purely your prerogative to tell , what you desire to tell. In order to apprise the forum & its members you reply only after getting convinced that this Forum is worth to be given your thoughts/ experience. of yous for enlightening the society/ religion Etc.
