thank u immensely sir......for the prompt response, sorry i didnt put my querry at the proper column...god bless u...

shanker, anandi,

welcome to the forum.

my own antecedents 3 generations ago, were chathapuram, pallipuram et kalpathi. all now only names in a increasingly faint and distant racial memory.

atleast good to see real live 'flesh and blood' pattars are still existing in those villages. also surprised at that too.

considering the levels of emigration from these, starting in the early 20th century....

God Bless.

Dear Kunjuppu Sir,
Thank you so much for your affectionate reply. I felt happy to know that your roots are also from Palakkad. It is always a pride and pleasure to travel the memory lines of our gramam and the greeneries, landscapes where v had spent so many years in our childhood. Now due to personal and professional commitments we are away from our home land but heart always goes for those precious memories and pampers it whenever it gets time. some attraction or some divine power is pulling me whenever I go through the memory line and I go to my native place at least twice in a year, visits all our family Kaavu, temples, spent few days in my home and come back. It gives me rejuvenation, relaxation and recreation, I search myself there, after finding the innocent, childish girl Anandi in me again, I come back happily to start my routine in Ahmedabad in full swing. That’s it. Thank you sir for giving me a chance to unwind my golden memories again. I owe to you.

Hi tbs sir
Nice to hear you are from Palakkad. For your kind information, my mother was a teacher in the Chittoor ved Pathshala years and years before... before her marriage...that time vaidyanathan sir was the HM, and Sundaram sir and Keralavarma sir were all teachers. These are the stories, I heard from her. My mother name is Smt. N.S.Gangabai. She was the Sanskrit and Hindi pandit in that school, and then shifted to MNKMHS Chittilamchery after marriage. Where she was served for 32 years before retirement. Still excellent mastery over Sanskrit. She is with me. I lost my father very early... She brought me up and whatever I am today is due to her courage and sacrifice. I am the only daughter; she was in the village for many years. But health doesn't allow her to stay there. She wants stay in the village, so that she can attend various functions and have friends there. But I am not sending her there now. Whenever she likes to see the village, we both go and come back together. That's it. Thank you sir for helping me to go back to the old memories once again.
Regards,
Anandi
