my favorite movie.....badrakali...i saw many times....my ever green songs from badrakali movie....

Please recollect the story of the Tamil movie, 'Badrakali', which was released during the mid 70s, starring Sivakumar and the famous Rani Chandra who was killed in an air crash during the filming of the movie. The story of a brahmin family, where the wife falls sick and inactivated. The husband is compelled to marry again yet the husband attends to the first wife faithfully.

I did not attempt to find out Howzzzzzzzzat as it was mind boggling to say the least.

But what induced me to read your post was the opening line of the story: "A couple got only sons:. Why use of the word "onlY"?? Is the number insufficient??? or is the intention to emphasize that there were no daughters to the couple??
 
I know a TB family who had a son & daughter...The daughter married outside the community...The son is unmarried...He is in his 40's..In the meantime husband got separated from his wife...What do you speak of progeny and continuation of family tree here?
