Mami - But I ain't gone nowhere !!!!

I thought you knew that I was going to be away for a while. Providence [ call it God / Fate / Almighty ]
has always found it apt to assign me the task of going to places where the sick, injured, starved, marooned,
devastated and desperate were in absolute need of help.

I did mention earlier that the recent U/Khand stuff was pretty-much a cake-walk - had a terrific team
of able-bodied men and women and resources weren't scarce. Communications were good and radio
frequencies didn't go blink.

Had a tough time doing tarpanam in the muddied and turbulent Mandakini - ducked on the leeward side
of a boulder - no black 'yel' or raw rice. Played second-fiddle to some local priests in
" Anaatha Pretha Karyams " too. On the whole a crazy guy, no ? Been and eventful life so far .

Shake hands (?) Aw, come on Mami - put on your punching gloves - I still have a vivid picture of "AN
Avvaiyar in a designer T-Shirt, Levi Jeans, Rayban goggles riding a Harley Davidson ................ ".

Yes, it feels nice to be back if only to tease young girls i.e, girls who were young maybe 100 yrs ago.

Yay Yem

dear Mr. A.M Ji,

I missed your humor and your teasing too! :)

I am yet to be born according to your time scale since
I was a little girl ~ 60 years ago which means that
I will be born only 40 more years in your time scale.

Nice feeling to be (-) 40 years old.

Since you did the last rites to many unknown people :thumb:
you need not feel bad about failing to perform the traditional tharpaNam.

Good day to you Sir for responding in such a cheerful note. :peace:

I wasn't sure how badly/deeply I had hurt you - even if unintentionally.

Dear Tmt VR [ VV ]

I guess I should start a story about a young VEE VEE like this:

" Once upon a time, in a far away land called Koniammam Pudur, there lived a young
beautiful, cheerful, dainty maiden. She was as ferocious as her pet dinosaurs .............. " .

Before I proceed I think I should trudge along like the swagman with a tuckerbag and jumbuck to the
billabong - Waltzing Matilda !

Yay Yem

Dear AM Sir,

You are doing an yeoman service in the Flood ravaged Uttarakhand...Hats off to you

We hear from the Media that GOI and Government & army and other para military support have started the process of rehabilitation of the affected regions on war footing by starting the rebuilding of Roads, bridges damaged in this calamity and have started the process of compensation...How much is being done actually?

Still see photographs of relief material lying in the roads or go downs and being unable to reach the targeted areas/ relief camps on account of various constraints...Is this a severe issue?

I saw the temple being cleaned of dead bodies in TV yesterday.

ing....Who is going to rebuild the temple (lot of organisations including Kanchi Mutt, Gujarat Government) have volunteered in this..Are the roads to Kedarnath being relaid?

When are Pujas starting there?

As you are reporting from Gemba (Real place) look forward to your inputs

Regards,

Vgane

Dear Vgane Ji

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation. No Sir, I am not there right now. Did the de-briefing and
dispersed the team on Saturday 13th July. [ Yathaa Sthaanam Prathishtapayami ! ]

This is another of those 'sensitive' things that I mentioned in my post # 74. Every bloke - a politician to a
pontiff always tries to extract some mileage from a crisis situation. And the electronic media 24X7 I guess
sets itself on auto-pilot with a "Rewind & Replay" mode until something new and sensational materializes.

Even though I have to concede that various news channels had their crew on site and the reporting pretty-much
authentic, one generally gets a highly exaggerated / distorted impression of the actual situation. Somehow, they
haven't used the word 'nexus' as yet - but disgusting as it is, it is very much there i.e., the Pontiff-Politician nexus.

The Army, Paramilitary, ITBP, BRO and IAF all have done an excellent job - the airlift going down in aviation history
as the biggest since the evacuation of US Forces from Vietnam.

Yes Sir, every news channel tries to out-do the other with their 'scoops' and 'breaking news'. You see, 'Time Heals' -
who remembers the CWG / 2G / Coalgate anymore ? - much less the Shah Commission / Sarkaria Commission !

News clips on U/Khand ? - I watch them, with a tongue-in-the-cheek .

Thanks, once again.

Yay Yem

Waltzing Matilda ! :noidea:

" Once upon a time, in a far away land called Koniammam Pudur, there lived a young

O.K Sir! SINCE it is a fairy tale, I suppose anything can go into it including my being young, beautiful, cheerful and dainty. :)

When your heart is as soft as the tasty, fleshy and fragrant jack fruit, you also need to keep an exterior as discouraging as the jack fruit. If jack fruit was as readily edible as the mango, do you think anyone will go for mango? :nono:

Nature holds many practical lessons for us! :hail:

Dear Tmt VR

Ok. What do you want me to do synthetically be " Outside Butter, Inside Gutter " or the other way around ?

Oh! there was some "Dishum-Dishum" between the Camel and the Diva-turned-Rat-turned Jalra !
I missed it - who won ? the Sheikh or the Datin Paduka ?

Don't tell me it became a 'Stalemate' - I actually don't like the word .

Dear A.M Ji,
You got the first hand info from the horse's mouth. :)

If it is outside-gutter no one will stay long enough
to discover the inside-butter! Navneetha hrudayam???

The exterior of the jack fruit is only discouraging
but the exterior if it is guttter will be repelling. :bolt:

Poor Mr. Ravi! He was rudely shaken for no reason at all
in the KomaN and Soman thread. :tsk:

I did not realize that the image of the camel posted was his avatar.

I felt bad for having responded to that post -
without recognizing the image of the camel.

I thought all camels look alike but apparently they don't. :decision:

Thank God you said 'horse's mouth' !

It looks, there are too many ladies in the TB forum prowling around with high precision
optical instruments, with the sole purpose of fantasizing on the anatomical features of
innocent mammals that make the deserts their natural habitat.

Only RR is capable of spotting a camel in skirt! Who knows, VR may come up with a
dolphin in a bikini or a gorilla in a revealing see-thru !

Yeah, it is real tough being a good TB Male .

I guess I deserve the Dishum-Dishum no excuses - long overdue. Will do something soon.

Yay Yem

High precision optical instruments??? That deals only with the mundane physical world.

The discussion was at a higher plane of existence involving Kundalini and Chakras etc!LOL

Oh Dr Renu

Again (!) Surely, you've heard of Kirlian Photography !!!???!!

Photographing of the 'aura' MUNDANE in your dictionary !!!!

Come off it.
