If you want to know what God really thinks about money,

just look at the people He gives it to!

Everyone can change his opinion.

The wise reflect after the change. :decision:

The unwise never reflect-

if ever they change.

An ideal couple...

A blind wife and a

deaf husband. :ear:

My father was an ideal dreamer.

My mother is down to earth and practical.

My father had a very refined sense of humor. I still remember how he would burst

into occasional laughter while reading P.G.Wodehouse -his favorite author!

His body would shake with his loud chuckles.

My mother on other hand has picturesque language skill. She might be describing

something that happened half a century ago, but we can see, hear and feel the

event happening right in front of our eyes.

We all owe our sense of humor to our dear father and language skills to our dear

mother! Thank God for making them our parents! :hail:

My father always had been the do-good er and my mother the go-getter!

God always unites people so that they complement and supplement each other.

We imbibed lofty ideals from our dear father and the will power, energy and

courage from our dear mother. Again we got the right combination!

Thank God for making the combination right! :hail:

Every one complains about his memory
:blah:

but no one ever complains about his judgment.

In Nature there are neither rewards nor punishments
:first:

but only logical consequences of our actions.
:ballchain:

Most people value and trust their friends more than their own relatives!

Why?

I got the answer from an unexpected source ...my son when he was very young!

He told me point blank, :moony:

"Friends are 'selected' by us

but relatives are 'given' to us!" :spy:

Truly nobody likes a 'choice-less' existence!

.............

In Nature there are neither rewards nor punishments

but only logical consequences of our actions.
:ballchain:

Some punishments are given by FATE!! I strongly believe in previous birth now, as I am seeing

the easy departure from this world by some people who are in the NOT SO GOOD category and

the prolonged suffering in super senior age by some people who have done a lot of good deeds,

not only to their circle of friends and relatives, but also to the society!! :grouphug:

"ஊழிற் பெருவலி யாவுள மற்றொன்று

சூழினும் தான்முந் துறும்" - KuraL 380

We know what those great people have done in this birth.

No one knows what they have done in their earlier births!

We can't judge God and His actions based on the little things we have seen.

There is no Cause without an effect and no effect without a cause.

In Vedanta they say

we are too short sighted and ignorant to judge god and His actions.

"ஊழிற் பெருவலி யாவு?

That is the effect of the past deeds.

We call them by different names Fate, Fortune, Vidhi, Destiny, Luck...

They all mean one and the samething which is definitely beyond our control!

If a genius like Thiruvalluvar believed in Fate,

nothing wrong with others doing so.

Many things we see around us, can never be explained except by Theory of Karma!

The greatest disservice one can do to a woman is :whoo:

to deprive her of a genuine grievance. :mmph:

A true friend is one who knows all about you truly :yo:

and yet loves you truly, all the same.

If you are a real "ASADU" you do not suffer any time by anything. The extreme opposite can have a choice of suffering. The middle people suffer most because they are neither 'asadu' nor 'brahaspatis'. I think it is still possible to be a 'jnaani'; it is near impossible to be an "asadu" what with our pretensions, egos....

Most people value and trust their friends more than their own relatives!

Why? .........

நட்புக்காக எதுவேண்டுமாயினும் செய்வோம்;

:grouphug:

The only problem is the other side may believe that :heh:

we are "suckers" and go on

sucking our time, talent and energy for life!
:couch2:

And may go on demanding them as their birth right!

Do not say all you know. :nono:

But always know what you say. :director:

Silence is not always tact. :tape:

Silence is not golden either.

It is Tact which is golden. :thumb:

The fine and final test of a real gentleman:

His respect for those who can be of :yo:

no possible use to him at all! :alien:

It is not enough to be industrious! :nono:

What matters is...

What are you industrious about? :bump2:

Mad / Mod(ern) philosophy...

Where there is marriage without love, :bored:

there will be love without marriage.

"The ancient saying is no heresy,

Hanging and wiving go by destiny".

William Shakespeare. :thumb:

Shakespeare's famous quotes:-

" Neither a borrower nor a lender be;
For loan oft loses both itself and a friend,
and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry" :nono:

"The course of true love never did run smooth." :whip:

"What is in a name? That which we call a rose,
By any other name would smell as sweet" .
