Do the rest of us please please get to see photos of this gathering? pretty please? mami can I have your beetroot toffee recipe (sounds so posh calling it toffee rather than halwa lol). I love beetroot and make a dry curry with generous grated coconut on top and make grated beetroot raita, but I've never heard of beetroot toffee.

Tmt RR has fixed the venue. I will most glad to have some lovely people coming over to my place.

We are looking at early October 2013 when Prasad Ji is likely to be in town. It might be time for
Dr Ross and The Sheikh to return to their bases by then.

I really have no qualms about being branded a 'Jalra' - I have been abused worse (!) I am pretty
neutral [ these days the call it 'cool' ] and have never cared about people who tend to get gossipy
or pompous or clannish or even coquettish .

So, it gives some time for people to plan their schedules - Ist week Oct is what we are looking at.

Looking forward to meeting and spending some nice time with whoever can make it.

PS: TVK - yes, you did proactively start the process, but the reason you gave for your 'escape'
was really a novel one - you do come up with some howlers ! You must be great fun !

2nd week of October would be preferred by me. I am not there in the 1st week, but you are welcome to meet whenever it is convenient to you.

Yes you are right, it depends on how you compute.

The first week of the month is the first week that contains a Thursday. This is based on the ICU definition of week of month, and correlates to the ISO8601 week of year definition.

Ram too likes such get together meetings. You can check with Naina Sir, A M Sir, Meera, Bala Sir, Balu Sir and Ravi.

TVK Sir and Dr. Narayani were with us for the previous meeting. They too had good conversation with Ram. :cool:
 

Ram and I have a trip down South from 11th to 13th Oct. Be back in Sing Chennai only on 14th morning!

And we don't want to miss the meeting! So any date before 11th / after 13th please........... :)

Dear Amala,

We used to hate beetroot curry in young age and my mom made these toffees to make us eat!
