PM's message

[h=1]Message from The Prime Minister[/h] My dear fellow Indians and citizens of the world,
Namaste!
A very warm welcome to the official website of the Prime Minister of India.
On 16th May 2014 the people of India gave their verdict. They delivered a mandate for development, good governance and stability. As we devote ourselves to take India’s development journey to newer heights, we seek your support, blessings and active participation. Together we will script a glorious future for India. Let us together dream of a strong, developed and inclusive India that actively engages with the global community to strengthen the cause of world peace and development.
I envision this website as a very important medium of direct communication between us. I am a firm believer in the power of technology and social media to communicate with people across the world. I hope this platform creates opportunities to listen, learn and share one’s views.
Through this website you will also get all the latest information about my speeches, schedules, foreign visits and lot more. I will also keep informing you about innovative initiatives undertaken by the Government of India.
Yours,
Narendra Modi

Nehru consigned to dust! A new beginning!

Irresistible Nehru factor

Quoting from the above article:

Such symbolism apart, many believe that by invoking godhuli Modi ensured that he would only start work formally in the Prime Minister’s Office on Nehru’s death anniversary even if he would be sworn in a day earlier.

There was nothing irresistable about Nehru factor. This interpretation of Mr. K.P.Nayar suits people accustomed to westernized thinking. There could be an alternative Indian interpretation. The vast majority of Indians may also feel that the very next day after Modi becomes PM of India, being the death anniversary of Nehru , could be symbolic of the death of the Nehru dynasty rule?

Those who follow the development closely - curious to know which well known people/supporters were sidelined in the new Modi administration. For example is Dr Swamy getting a role, was he invited to attend the cermonies ..and if not what is the message..

Thanks

i think modi doesnt suffer fools, and judging by what swamy has been saying these past few weeks, swamy is an embarassment not only to bjp but any decent indian. he has gone bonkers now.

one sample of swamy's blabber is this tweet... Bharatiya Janata Party's loose cannon Subramanian Swamy sparked off yet another controversy on Twitter after 'appointing' the party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi a Brahmin.
"With the authority vested in me I hereby appoint Namo as a Brahmin since he has Brahminical gunas," Swamy tweeted from his handle @Swamy39, opening the floodgates of both scorn and back-slapping from fans and dissenters online.

the absence of swamy, joshi, shourie only proves that the guessworkers were just doing that..guessing. nobody really knew who would be in. for example even those worthless anbumani was rumoured in. thank goodness the guessers were wrong.

i was happy that nirmala seetharaman is in. she is a charmer. :) and very good looking too. and a tambram to the boot :)

K - Thanks for sharing this info.
I am surprised with whatever minimal I knew of Swamy that he may be so politically inept and send out a silly tweet like that.
I think Modi's focus on National unity and even going for unity within Asian continent is very smart.

Besides the controversial tweet quoted by K, Dr Swamy's other tweet that Presidents rule should be imposed in TN just because JJ is not attending the swearing in of NaMo is also silly..With what authority is he speaking..His loose talk will take him nowhere..He needs to learn from persons like Jaitley who are smart in their communication skills & who is much younger than Dr Swamy & the defacto no 2 under NaMo.

Swamy may be a loose cannon for some, but a powerful and devastating shooter. He has won all his cases, but his challenge to file defamation cases against him by the victims has so far no takers. They know that he has document support for his allegations.

In the same tweet, his view that this proves that varna is not birth based has been left out by his critics. Modi has neither responded not denied swamy's observation, but the media and congress lost the battle they waged with the propaganda that modi himself included his forward caste to the OBC list; this is another story, funny but totally unnecessar.

Twitter is a different world. He has nicknames for all the corrupt congress leaders. Anyway he can do his mission of judicial punishment to the culprits only when he is outside the government, because there may be conflict of interests. But he along with shourie, gurumurthy and a few more honest, clean and uncorrupt intellectuals will be part of panels that will expose some of the dark deeds of gandhi family and party cohorts.

K - Thanks for sharing this info.
