Dear Renu,

The concept of marriage is togetherness through thick and thin till the

inevitable factor parts them once for all!

Where is the togetherness in the modern weddings?

Where is the "caring and sharing" in modern marriages?

Each for himself/ herself will become the philosophy very soon!

Out of sight, out of mind...sooner or later!

Friendship is also a union of hearts.

True friends are defined as two bodies and one soul!

If it is so, where is the NEED for a marriage for the union of two hearts?

They can live poles apart and stay emotionally connected EVEN without

getting married! Whom are they trying to fool? Themselves or their

trusting parents?

with best wishes & regards,
Mrs. V.R.

Dear VR,

I have a short story for u...

See "Hardware" needs regular maintenance and "Software" needs constant updates.
Now you see "Hardware" doesnt really think that much..its just a spinal reflex..but "Software" sometimes can be emotional and trouble shooting starts.

So you see sometimes "Hardware" has midlife crisis and might seek new "Software" and then even more trouble starts cos new "Software" is more expensive to maintain and the old "Software" also gives trouble now.

Ok then when "Hardware" works overtime with new "Software" risk of getting infected with Virus is high so what does "Hardware" do?

Go back to old "Software"? yes thats what "Hardware" does and goes home and sees that all this while "Software" was in connection with "Windows 7(the neighbour")....

This story has been there for ages, just given a modern twist..God knows what is in anyones mind....

instead of neighbor ,maybe neighbor's is more apt :),especially same gender union

Dear Renu,

I think we are saying the same thing in different words...

apparently contradicting but actually supporting
each other's views!

I need more time to read your story (riddle) and transfer it to fit on

human beings.

Till then take care!

with best wishes and regards,
V.R.

P.S.

I only meant that He is busy with his job in hardware; She with her job

in software and since they do not have time/inclination/ interest,

children are nowhere!

I too wish I could say children are "now here!" instead of "nowhere!"

Dear VR,
Dont worry I will let you know now..See when I said Hardware..I meant the male species cos they are biologically able to have increased blood supply for rigidity of the ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus.

when i wrote Software..I meant the female species cos well, they have lesser vascular dependency hence Softer.

Ok the rest I am talking about married life and extramaritals connection..VR..U know if I go more detail than this I will be banned!!!!

Here is something really worth reading!!!!!!!!! Got this from my friend!

The Beauty of Love:

The question is asked, "Is there anything more beautiful in life than a young couple clasping hands and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be anything more beautiful than young love?"

And the answer is given. "Yes, there is a more beautiful thing. It is the spectacle of an old man and an old woman finishing their journey together on that path.

Their hands are gnarled, but still clasped; their faces are seamed, but still radiant; their hearts are physically bowed and tired, but still strong with love and devotion for one another. Yes, there is a more beautiful thing than young love. Old love." - Unknown !

dear Renu,

If I cared for Anatomy lessons, I would have become a doctor myself!

My neighbor's son's wedding got fixed nearly a year ago!

The boy was starry eyed for nearly 9 months till the wedding took place.

After the wedding in January, the girl spent a few days here with him and

went back to her home, mom and job! :bolt:

Now the boy waits the whole month for the second Saturday and spends

two nights in the
train in order to spend a day with her in Bangalore!

At other times they are back to their pre-wedding schedule. :bored:

That is what made me write the post! :

So let the matters rest there! :rip:

No more anatomy lessons please! I do not want anybody banned from

the forum. Let people live the lives they choose to live. It is none of my

concern. I will make sure that my children and nephews get the kind of

life we think to be appropriate for them. :couch2:

Thank you dear Raji!

Yes, this is what I am trying to convey...togetherness and sharing and

caring for each other.

Their hands (though gnarled) are still clasped!

They cared for each other all their their lives.

They smile (though toothless by now) and share the burden of life

(though already bent under its weight).

This is exactly what I wanted to convey.

Remember "Nature abhors vacuum!"

If an important place in a person's life is left vacant...

some friend/ neighbor will try to usurp it. Beware! :director:

Dear VR,
Ok I will let matter rest also anyway I am not really in a mood to joke too much now cos I just want to spend sometime contemplating on what my dear Poorna Kaliyuga Avatar had taught me about life since He is not in his Mortal Coil now..I am not grieving cos He is Sanathana but just as mark of respect I am not writing anything funny today..in fact when I wrote your reply I didnt know yet that Bhagawan Baba had shed His Mortal Coil only after I finished typing I got the news from TV..

Anyway dear VR..see life has ups and downs and the best is just let it be..we cant really dictate or worry too much and try to sets things according to any gold standard cos each individual is as different as finger prints..what that seems right to us might be wrong to another..I feel adopting "Que Sera Sera(What ever wil be will be) attitude is the best. But being concerned a little about the Jagat is acceptable as the saying goes Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and its not only our family that is important.

Well said..we are all ignorant only..Only God is all knowing.

Thought, this might be relevant here, talking about children of busy couple!

Though I wrote this about children in the US, it holds good for children in India too!!

It is better to suffer wrong than inflict one on others.:boink:

It is happier to be cheated than cheat another yourself.

A person who takes up your time recognizes no debts-

but it is the one which he cannot repay!
The first two are OK...

But how can anyone live, without spending time for others? :noidea:

Nobody lives in an island that he/she can spend all the time on

himself/herself!

The wording is "the person who takes up your time..."

(which no one can ever bring back or pay for) and

"...recognizes no debts" ...

Our spending our own time is one thing, the others wasting our time is

quite another.

The best example I can think of is

one of your students- who also likes to talk on other subjects-

and sings for one hour and talks for two hours...

and never realizes that she has wasted your two class- hours.

Think about it!

Yes, yes, dear Sis!

I do have such students! :blabla:
But, I grin and bear it because, I love them! :grouphug:
Anyway, I can not work 24 X 7 X 365 and want :couch2: !!

Wisdom is always a blessing.

One thorn of experience is :ballchain:

There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery

the time when we were very happy.

The sorrow's crown of sorrow
is remembering happier things.

How very true!!!

The very first lesson I learnt in Journalism course is WHAT will sell and

what WON'T.

According to the lesson only three thing sell...always!

Guess what?

Money, Power and Sex!

Corollaries:-

Two topics never fail to entice and attract the members of the Forum.

1. Inter caste marriages...since it falls under the category 'Sex.'

2. Any thread which has the word 'brahmin' in it!

Brahmins held all the power in their hands long long ago!

So the topic invariably falls under the category 'Power.'

How very true! :clap2:

Now eyes down for the next bout of verbal :boxing:!

Two men look out through the same bars.

One sees the mud
 and the other the stars.

To understand is...to pardon.

Those who can not remember the past

are condemned to repeat it!
