Dear Raji,

Actually I heard it from a senior citizen but however hard I think, I am not able to

remember who it was. I heard it for the second time today when I was in kitchen

cooking lunch and athimber was plying the T.V very loud. I just came out to find

the name of the movie.

Do we become vulnerable by

1. trusting people,

2. by respecting people,

3. by obliging their requests,

4. by feeling as close as a family-

even when NOT related in anyway?

May be we do!

The world is funny.

It fears a snake and offers it milk and eggs

but milks a cow at times letting the calves starve!

Does that mean that "Might is Right"

and all soft and kind people will have to face

various problems in everyday live?

May be it is true!

Personally I don't care whether Vali write 1000 songs or 10,000 songs!

I am just wondering what is there 'to ponder about them' in this thread!

Every one is welcome to contribute to the threads-but without defiling them

in that process!

Posts like these remind me of an elephant's head transplanted on a lion's body-

ruining the looks and beauty of both the animals.
Comment on book of Vali's 1000 songs may perhaps fit in daily dose of information. You can request the moderator to get this removed and posted at the appropriate thread. How to compile a book is also a point to ponder if the post is pondered perhaps. raja48

Points to Ponder:-

1. Exhausted L.L.T thread? :decision: Got exhausted and quit that thread?

2. will the total 'likes' exceed the number of posts? :decision: number of blogs?

3. The man who promises Everything promises Nothing!

4. Everything? :decision: Nothing?

5. Extending the same argument ...

the person who likes Everything likes Nothing!

6. Like? :decision: Dislike?

Wow! That makes quite a long list of things to be pondered!!!

Reply to thread #489.

Why share with another thread when we want to honor great poet like Vali?!

A new thread can be started in the Literature section under his name!

That will also give an idea of how many people really care about

Vali and his immortal songs and what they really feel about him and them!

Why does the Goddess of Fortune smile on a selected few so that

they live as snug as a bug in a rug :bored: while some others

get stuck in the muck like a truck? :help:
If the Goddess fotune smiles on all then the word fortune will have no meaning as one cannot differetiate between the fortunate and the less fortunate. Secondly, there should be pople to lift the palanquin. If all the people were to sit on the palanquin who would lift it. Hence, the Goddess fortune smiles on a selected few for its own reasons which if analysed will end in the philosophy that God does everything to the benefit of the community as a whole. raja48

The statement was general and did not refer to any single individual. The violence seen either in TV serials or Cinema do have an effect on the immature people who are abudnant in this world. Last but not the least, the impression that one can cause violence and escape. So, the statement about violence in the media is really worth worrrying. raja48

dear Mr. Brahmanyan,

Your post deserves 'Akshara Laksham'! I wish I were that rich to be

able to honor you!

Studying through your long list, I found out something common -

though not apparent at the first sight!

Human life is the cheapest commodity in India. But a cheetah skin or

a deer skin is dearer to every one.

So kindness to animals > kindness to human beings!

Essential things like rice, vegetables and educational loans will

accepted at any price/ from any selling spot and at any rate of

interest (respectively) since we NEED them.

The others are being forced upon you. That explains a lot I suppose!

If the pizza is not delivered in the specified time, it becomes a free

door-delivery. Hence the rush. But who will take to task a delayed

ambulance or delayed policemen?

The mock fight to distract the people during the looting is the same

tactics employed by the people performing road side shows. When

the public enjoys the show with open jaws, the sleek, swift fingers

will relieve them of their purse.

It was considered a shame that slaves were sold in market places.

But the same sale in the name of an auction of human beings is the

pride and joy of the nation!

what a concept to sell human beings like cattle in a market place!

Confusion is too mild a word! 'Weird' may also be inadequate!

God save us-if it is still with in his powers!

with warm regards,
Mrs. V.R. :pray2:
Has anybody either individual or orgnisation has protested the buying of cricketers till today? In fact Media gives wide publicity of such sales. The leopard/skin is dearer because they are becoming reduced in number day by day whereas human population is increasing day by day. However, a policeman being punished to kill a leopard with a view to save a human being does not justified on the basis of above reasoning. Essentials like rice, vegetables, educational loans are needed for survival and hence bought at a heavy price. Further essentials supplied are a few but chased by a very large number and hence need to be bought at a heavy price. In fact, Cricketers have been good entertainers like cinema stars. In cinema, the auction is being done in a hush hush manner. So, sportsperson also have become stars which shine for a limited period and want to earn maximum money. The irony is that even foreign sports persons willingly submit themselves for auction by the team owners/group of owners. At one end people die of starvation and at the other end grains rot. What an anamolous situation? raja48

Riddles in real life (at least in mine!)

1. Why do the people whom we LOVE MOST always HURT us MOST?

2.Why do all the new "B"s make a bee line to one of my threads/blogs?

3.Why I can't be like the others not worrying as to what happens to whom, when, where and why? :ohwell:

4. Why can't I make my motto in life the popular quote
"Why bother whether the ruler is a Ravana or a Rama?"

5. Why can't I make this my philosophy in life
"Everything is fine as long as I AM as snug as a bug in a rug! :bored:

6. Why only I have so many questions unanswered?
It is easier to ask than questions than give answers to them. Many people have a lot of questions, similar or different, but they do not have answers for them. To find an answer to a question arising within oneself requires contemplation not occasionally but continuously. The answer reveals itself unexpectedly. So, the answers to your questions lie within you and not elsewhere. This is equally true of people having their questions unanswered. By the way, I also had a lot of questions fpr which there were no answers. But I had the answers after a very long time that too by chance. raja48

Sowbagyavathy VR, Greetings.

I thought your points are pondering only. Are we starting to have discussions on those points? Personally, I enjoyed your postings with minimal discussions on them. Hope, discussions don't stem the flow of your thread!

Cheers!

Dear Mr. Raghy,

Thanks for pondering on my thread Points to ponder!

You said it right!

I meant these points to be pondered on, individually and SILENTLY!

Apparently someone wants to do VISUALLY at the top of his visual voice.

Well! It become a DISCUSSION only if I take up the comments and reply.

So If I remain silent, it will become a one sided discussion- a monologue,

the noise made by a single palm i.e non existing!

well this itself is worth pondering for today I guess!

with warm regards, :pray2:
Visalakshi Ramani.
