Points to ponder!

The very first question my son asked me after reaching his home was,

"How do you survive for so may days without the Internet!"

A point to ponder... no doubt.

It is NOT just the Forum and e mails.

It is also the daily chat with the loved ones-especially the
kutty prince and princess of the family.

Absence DOES make the heart grow fonder!

Hello VR,
I certainly agree with you on your observationGod gives each of us a clean slate when we are born.

Whether we draw lovely pictures or scribble like crow's feet dipped in ink - is in our capacity and choice!

I would like to add,In Hindu Dharma/Faith an Aathma continues the Kama of previous birth. The Aathma has to undergo the good bad things of previous birth .
What I want to conclude is apart from 'capacity and choice' the karma is also driving us,

Hello VR,
'Get raped and be punished for being the victim of rape' Really happened in Mayawati's state very recently.Aminister did the atrocity to a village girl and she was charged falsely by the police.Under publi/Media pressure the minister had to quit.

The perpetual cycles of digging and refilling causes havoc to the cables underground.
No one bothers about anything.
It is because my husband was chasing the telephone people in Gazini style that I got he connection today.
I was afraid that it might take till next Monday.
And tomorrow the is the power-cut-day of the month
- right from 9 A.m to 6 P.M!
Can any one come up with more appropriate punishments for folks like ourselves?
You may type in G mail and then copy paste your posts. They gets automatically saved even if the power fluctuates or fails unexpectedly.

A typical example of
"Adding insult to injury!"
It happens all the time,
everywhere in
different subtle forms!

How can the less the greater comprehend?
Or finite reason reach Infinity? :hail:

Dim, as the borrowed beams of moon and stars :dizzy:

Is reason to the soul.

Food for thought!

The easiest and the juiciest equation defining GOD
or equating God to something each one of us should have felt at some point or the other in our lives!

GOD = LOVE

The concept is true with all religions, all regions, all languages, all cultures, all customs and all countries.

But defining LOVE is more difficult-now that it has been equated to GOD!

It is by far easier to say what is NOT love.

Desire is not love.

Lust is not love.

Kaamam is not love.

Raagam is not love.

Pretending for a purpose is not love.

Loving for the sake of love is love.

Those who are lucky enough to feel this kind of love can also feel GOD and need never doubt His Presence!!!.

Hello VR,
Can I say willing to help the needy is LOVE.

Sure! Unless there is LOVE in a person's heart, the very thought of helping another in NEED will never be born!
Love can express itself in many gentle ways.
The best examples that come to my mind are the selfless love for one's off springs and unconditional love shown to God.

During my son's wedding in Chicago, we got to meet all his colleagues and their secretaries.

They were very nice people and they congratulated us for the way we had brought up our son.

Subsequently we were invited to the farewell party arranged by his department colleagues.

I met a very handsome guy with a brilliant smile. No wonder he was the chosen one to perform the experiments in front of the T.V. Camera!

We got into conversation. He told me that he too had married an Asian girl - a Korean.

He went on to say that his in-laws were visiting him right then. His wife would show them around and accompany them on their shopping sprees.

He himself did not know a word of Korean language and his in-laws did not know a word of English.

I asked him,"How do you communicate with them then?"

He replied giving me one of his brilliant smiles and said,

"I will give them a smile and get out of their way as quickly as possible!"

I asked him, "So your smile will be invariably followed by your disappearing act?"

He chuckled heartily and said, "Yes you may say so!"

Disappearing Acts come in very handy in everyday life when

1. we do not KNOW to communicate,

2. when we do not WISH to communicate and

3. when the 'cat gets our tongue' and we become tongue-tied!

In my opinion Silence is GOLDEN even otherwise.

Points to Ponder!

We often put off or neglect a work/chore, hoping to save some time. But someone will appear unannounced and waste the time we originally wanted to save.

When we are least presentable, we will get all the rare and unusual visitors!

When the house looks as if struck by a mini tsunami, the special people will arrive hoping to 'give us a surprise' and get 'properly surprised' instead!

Points to Ponder:-

1. Revolutions may be set off by trifles!

2. BUT a revolution is never about trifles!

3. Revolutions restore Justice.

4. Dark deeds and dawn will reveal themselves.

5. Foul play and Fraud end in Failure.

'Go with the flow' and
'zip your lips' are NOT
for everyone in the world.

Some may do it for personal gains(?)
Some may do it to keep off troubles!
Some may do it for reasons unknown(?)
Some won't do it for any of the above!

Human beings can be either a HE or a SHE

(unless of course they belong neither here nor there
and end up becoming become it! poor dears!)

Sita was a woman ....... but so was Soorpanakha!

Sabari was a woman.....but so was Tadaka.

So being a woman does not mean anything

unless and until she is a 'womanly' woman!

Hard time for people who are using women the way

Arjun used Sikandi!

Well ! Life is full of twists and turns like O Henry tales!

So anyone who is hunted and haunted relentlessly
should never really lose hope!

The reason....?

Because GOD EXISTS!

One characteristic of human beings has always interested and intrigued me!

A short person always comments on the heights of the others.

A dark skinned person invariably comments on the skin color.

So also one with unsightly teeth will comment first on the teeth of the others.

The list can go on...!

The point I wanted to state is this:-

A confused man brands others as confused; :loco:

a rogue brands others as rogues and :spy:

a bully brands other bullies! :whip:

Interesting trait? :decision: Irritating trait?

I am 65+ years old.
I am told I look good for my age!
If you do not like to see my face, it is your problem. Not mine!
This is NOT a beauty contest and you are NOT a judge!
And I have NO intention of changing my photo –
just to please you.
I have many photos of my younger days but I look like this when I wrote these.
So If you want to accept the writing, you had better learn to accept the face also!
It will be good for you to learn some good manners - in case someone in your home has them!

P.S.
The world never runs short of weird people!
They hide themselves perfectly well
and go around commenting on other people's looks!
Reminds me of my earlier post on
a Shorty calling the others Shorties and
a bully calling the others bullies and
not to forget, the locos calling others locos!!
