உன் சமையல் அறையில் நான்
உப்பா? சக்கரையா?

I am sure most of you have heard this song and enjoyed it. But to me it is like choosing from two evils...two white poisons!

Excessive intake of sugar increases the production of mucus and phlegm.

Excessive salt can hike the blood pressure and oedema
(water retention in the body).

I know one lady who has never tasted either salt or sugar all her life! Too hard to believe isn't it?

I will write about it in detail in the "Sinthaiyail nirkkum vinthai manithargal" series in the Life is Like that thread!

Peace is in the grave. :rip:
The grave hides all things beautiful and good;
I am a God and cannot find it there.

From the dust of creeds outworn. :tinfoil3:

Yet every heart contains a perfection's germ. :laser:

There is a crazy teenager in our colony who can't travel at
< 50 k.m.h.

Whether the kids are playing, oldies and walking about, nothing concern him even an iota.

Now he has got a car-horn fixed in his motor bike and keeps honking it al the time.

When I asked him the reason he says, "No one moves away when a bike comes. But everyone will run away if they hear a car horn. So I can go as fast as I want to!"

Is it legal to have car horn on a motorbike?

If this fellow gets another brain wave and gets an ambulance siren or a fire engines bell fixed in his motorbike, will it still be legal and an allowed practice?

Is so, and everyone starts doing these weird things, will new horns, sirens be invented for the original ambulances and fire engines???

Why does the eclipsed moon appear red???

The Moon does not completely disappear as it passes through the umbra or the shadow cone formed by the earth. It is due to the refraction of sunlight
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunlight by the Earth’s atmosphere into the shadow cone.

if the Earth had no atmosphere, the Moon would be completely dark during an eclipse. The red colouring arises because sunlight reaching the Moon must pass through a long and dense layer of the Earth’s atmosphere, where it gets scattered.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayleigh_scattering

Blue which is the shorter
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wavelength wavelength is more likely to be scattered by the air molecules and the small particles. By the time the light has passed through the atmosphere, red, the longer wavelength dominates.

Red is resulting light we perceive.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RedThis is the same effect that causes to turn the sky a reddish in colour- during sunrise and sun set. As viewed from the Moon, the Sun would appear to be setting (or rising) behind the Earth. This will make it easier to understand.

The amount of refracted light depends on the amount of dust or clouds in the atmosphere; this also controls how much light is scattered.

In general, the dustier the atmosphere, the more that other wavelengths of light will be removed (compared to red light), leaving the resulting light a deeper red colour.

This causes the resulting coppery-red hue of the Moon to vary from one eclipse to the next. Volcanoes are notable for expelling large quantities of dust into the atmosphere, and a large eruption shortly before an eclipse can have a large effect on the resulting colour.

Did you watch the orange moon in the sky yester night???.

He gave man speech, and speech created thought,
Which is the measure of the universe.
And science struck the thrones of earth and heaven.:smash:

Death is the veil which those who live call life; :rip:
They sleep and it is lifted.

People who are infatuated with their own beauty and figure do

all sorts of crazy things.

Pretty Women (models and actresses) celebrate

their birthdays in bikinis!

Here is a list of those unconventional and uninhibited beauties.

Rosie Jones celebrated her 20th birthday.

Audrina partridge celebrated her 25th birthday.

Sofia Hayat celebrated her 27th birthday.

Joanna Krupa celebrated her 32nd birthday.

Jennifer Anison celebrated her 42nd birthday.

Halle Berry celebrated her 45th birthday.

Won't it be more thrilling and more daring to celebrate their

birthdays in their God-given birthday-suit???

Earth groans beneath religion's iron age :ballchain:

And priests dare babble of a God of peace :blabla:
Even whilst their hands are red with guiltless blood. :scared:

I love tranquil solitude,
And such society
As is quiet, wise and good.

Vibrates in the memory.:ear:

My friend said quoting a famous Writer, "If all the World is a Stage, where is audience sitting"!

He further said that his little child told him, Dad "Why is the alphabet in that order?, Is it because of that song!!

Thirdly, "If you're in a vehicle going the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the headlights"

1. They will sit in the very same place where Maha Vishnu stood in Varaha Avatar, while lifting up the earth from the water.

2. It can be either way...
the song came from the alphabets or the
alphabets came from the song!
Who decided the sounds and sequence of the alphabets in the first place???

3. The relative speed of two objects travelling in the same direction is the difference in their speeds.
When both the light and the vehicle travel at the speed of light, the relative speed is zero.
In other words there will not be a beam of light coming out of the headlight to the passengers inside the vehicle.

Thank you Mam.

Do illiterate person could enjoy the alphabet soup..

Say, If a cow laughs, would the milk come out her nose..

When we are on a sojourn, why do we drive parkways and park on driveways!

Can a blind person see a dream.. Does he dream!!

Q 1: Do illiterate person could enjoy the alphabet soup..

A 1: WHEN THE SOUP IS A SONG...YES!

Q 2: Say, If a cow laughs, would the milk come out her nose...

A 2: IT WILL... WHEN URINE STARTS COMING OUT OF OUR NOSE WHEN WE LAUGH!

Q 3. When we are on a sojourn, why do we drive parkways and park on driveways!

A 3: BECAUSE WE TALK WHEN WE SHOULD REMAIN SILENT AND REMAIN SILENT WHEN WE SHOULD TALK.

Q 4: Can a blind person see a dream.. Does he dream!!

A 4: HE DREAMS BETTER THAN US IN SOUNDS, SMELLS, TASTES AND TOUCHES - WITHOUT THOSE SCARY FACES THAT GO WITH THEM IN OUR DREAMS CALLED NIGHTMARES.

:boink: = constant provocation.

:loco: = constant highlighting of innocence / ignorance.

I was reading the exchange between you and Bala and I found it real cute and I am laughing here.
Thanks for making me happy.
Sorry I do not want to hurt anyone. There should be some interval of caper at times while we are conscious about our scatty exchange of truthful facts of information on the relevant topics that are being discussed/exchanged
in the thread.

1. I do not want to waste my 'little time' in fooling around.

2. Your 'sustained powerful' English makes me feel :dizzy:

3. I am cursing the day I welcomed you into one of my threads.

4. I will rather 'cross swords' than 'cross words' with you! :fencing:
I hope my message is LOUD and CLEAR now.

I do not want to have disharmony. I only wanted to take your little time away
from your sustained powerful wit. Let us not have cross words.

Strangely the meanings of the words chosen cannot be

more appropriate and honest to the core.

caper = bramble-like highly prickly shrub.:scared:

scatty = feeble minded / hare brained :loco:

Like Ravana's severed head the same topic keeps appearing under different headings all the time.

Don't people get tired of discussing the same thing over and over again - without giving any solutions, without making any decisions, without formulating any methods to stop the situation from aggravating.

All words and no actions will lead us back to square one!

(A recap of topical interest!)

The snug bug in the rug.

They knew he was a thug,
She was under love's drug; :dizzy:

Each ear stuffed with a plug,
All the warnings met a shrug.

She thought he was her jug;
He thought she was his mug!

He was in fact a mere bed-bug,
Wishing the comfort of a rug,

He felt complacent and smug,
He loved his shelter real snug! :couch2:

No amount of parental tug,
No amount of brotherly lug,

Could free her from his hug.
He was the meanest slug,

And a first class humbug,
The tussle ended with a...

Kooo chug chug chug chug
chug chug chug chug chug!
